Almost one year earlier
"Finn please don't go!! I'm so sorry! Please Finn! No please don't go!!" I sobbed as he packed up his stuff.
"I just... I can't Rachel." he said wiping a few measly tears away from his face.
"No Finn!! I'm so sorry!! I made a mistake, please don't leave!! Please Finn!!" I cried as I tried to get him to stop packing.
It was too late though. He was almost done already and he was going to walk out that door any minute. I didn't know when or if he was going to return.
"I love you Rachel but... I just need time to think. I'm sorry" He said as he threw the last thing in his bag and walked towards the door.
"If you really loved me you wouldn't just walk away!!" I shouted after him, through my tears.
He turned around and looked at me for a few seconds then continued to walk away. I slammed the door in anger and frustration. I buried my face deep into my hands, sobbing away.
Later that evening I got a phone call.
"Mrs. Berry?"
"Yes?" I replied in a shaky voice.
"Do you know Finn Hudson?"
"Yes I do" I said concerned
"I'm afraid to tell you but..." He paused for a quick second, like his breath caught. "A drunk driver was driving by and he accidentally hit Finn."
"Oh my God! Is he okay? I asked hoping for the best.
"I'm sorry but he got run off the road. We found his car at the bottom of the hill but we can't find his body."
"What?"
This can't be happening. This can't be true. I dropped my phone and fell to the floor, sobbing.
I always regret that the last time we saw each other we were fighting. I regret the last thing I did was accuse him of not loving me. I regret I didn't get to say I love you back or even a proper goodbye.
That was the last time I saw or heard from Finn...or so I thought.
