Daisy could feel Hailey's death stare.
"What?" Daisy finally asked.
"What do you mean what!"
"Why were you trying to follow me..."
"Hello? Have I mistaken you for Daisy?"
Daisy stayed silent.
"You know that girl called Daisy? She used to talk to me almost everyday, and was my friend for most of my life?"
"..."
"Until she moved away..."
Daisy then snapped "THEN WHAT ABOUT IT"
Hailey then had a blank face.
"Did none of that matter to you. Did our friendship mean NOTHING to yo-"
"It meant so much! I can't describe in words how important you were to me!"
Silence and awkwardness then equally filled the car. Daisy's mom still kept silent.
Hailey looked down and muttered under her breath "I guess you didn't care enough to tell me that you were moving..."
"Is that seriously what you were mad about...?"
"Well... that used to be the only thing... BUT now there's the fact that you go to the same school as me, and didn't even bother to try and talk to me! Let alone ever again... not even on the internet I tell you!"
"Well you made it look pretty obvious back then that you didn't want to talk to me. Ever. Again."
"We were in middle school!... and I- uh- I just let anger take the best of me..."
"And I was in middle school too let me remind you! I took your actions literally..."
Daisy's mom then spoke up "Those last sentences must have fell apart you girls, huh?"
Both Daisy and Hailey nodded, and then not long after did they both look up just now noticing how they weren't the only ones in the car.
