Hey guys, am back with yet another interesting recipe ghee soup. This is part of many delicacies originating from Southwestern Uganda. Enjoy!
REQUIREMENTS
Ghee
Rock salt, black Himalayan salt (mahoonde/ekisula)
Warm water
A sieve
PROCEDURE
1. Add 1/4 litre of warm water to a bowl containing a pebble-sized piece of rock salt. Swirl to dissolve little of the rock salt, then remove the rock salt. Too much salt will make the sauce slightly sour and will make it translucent which isn't the expected colour of the end product.2. Add two tablespoons of ghee, whisk to make white soup.
3. Filter to remove any residue. Add the soup to your dry fish stew, roasted beef stew, bean, all anything you desire. Some people eat it as sauce instead of adding it to another type of sauce.
Note: Consuming ghee this way gives you more taste and flavour, it combines well with the sauce or food where it's added and one uses less ghee than just scooping and adding to food. It's tastier made into soup first.
Also, it's made using warm water instead of hot because hot water just melts the ghee and you get just oily water. Cooking is an interesting science😏😏😏. Am done for today. Hit the star and turn it orange, also share and comment. Thank you.
Bye for now😘😘
