A/N: Author's note

Hey lovelies, I know I promised to make a chicken stew recipe but a friend ask me to make a chapati recipe, she needed it so I thought to do a rolex recipe at once since you need chapatis to make a rolex.
A ROLEX is one of the famous snacks we have here in Uganda and most people that come to our country they're introduced to it (and a warning about boda bodas of course) before other foods like matooke and others unless they want their stay cooperate. Even international celebrities like Kranium, Dj Neptune have tried it out,it's our small tourist asset😊😊 Anyway I promise the chicken stew recipe will happen. I'm sorry 🙇 tho for not coming through . But let's get started💃💃💃

Ingredients:
500g grams of baking flour

1 red onion

2 carrots

1 green pepper (optional)

1/2 litre of warm water

2 tablespoons of salt

1 tablespoon of sugar (optional)

1/4 a cabbage

1 juicy tomato

2 eggs

1/2 litre of vegetable cooking oil

PROCEDURE
1ST STEP
1. To a mixing bowl, add grated carrots, onion, green pepper, add salt to your taste and a tablespoon of sugar (optional). Green pepper adds colour and flavour

2. Add 1/4 litre of warm water and swirl to dissolve the salt and sugar.

3. Add 500g of baking flour and 3 tablespoons of cooking oil. The cooking oil adds colour and helps to make soft chapatis. Mix everything very well and start kneading. Add flour if it's too sticky and water if necessary. Keep knead until the dough stops sticking to your fingers.

4. Apply a tablespoon of cooking oil to the dough and cover. Let it rest in the fridge or just out for about 30mins. This helps to get soft chapatis.

5. Cut the dough into small balls and roll flat.

6. To medium heat (charcoal stove or gas cooker.....) put frying pan, add a tablespoon of cooking oil and spread the oil well and put your rolled dough. Saute for about a minute until cooked and turn the other side and add 1/2 tablespoon of cooking oil. Repeat the process.

Note: Low heat will make the chapatis soak up the oil whereas high heat will just burn the dough and might even turn out raw. Also it's best to roll one ball and fry it instead of rolling them at once, it prevents the dough from drying up unless you have a helping hand to fry. And don't forget to cover the dough after making the balls.

2ND STEP
1. Beat two eggs, add a pinch of salt, diced onions, tomatoes, cabbage (optional) and mix together. Some people prefer raw cabbages and tomatoes hence the word Nyanya mbisi which basically means raw tomatoes.

2. To a frying on medium heat add a tablespoon of cooking oil and pour the egg mixture. After egg is ready put a chapati on top and get it off the fire.

3. Slice tomatoes and put them about 1/4 the edge of the omelette that's on top of our chapati and roll. Cut in half and serve .

The cabbages make it thick but then some people prefer their vegetables raw

The cabbages make it thick but then some people prefer their vegetables raw. Whereas I'm team Nyanya mbisi, I can't stand raw cabbages in my rolex.

With time people have upped their Rolex game and they add different things to the wrap like chicken, mustard, lettuce

With time people have upped their Rolex game and they add different things to the wrap like chicken, mustard, lettuce. Basically making it a chapati sharwama or is it egg sharwama, idk😂😂. We're done, phew!!

Boda boda:motorbikes that we use for transportation. Dangerous but they take us to our destinations faster than taxis, we manage to stay alive.😂😂😂

Thank you for checking out the recipe, I hope it will be of use to you. Vote, comment, share and also suggest recipes you would like me to make. Trust me if don't know it, I will make the initiative to learn. Bye for now.
