The Boy

I hunch further into myself that I already am, and pull the thick cover over my head. The room has been getting colder and colder for a few minutes, now it's below freezing. 'Whoosh' the sound penetrates the silence with ease, unfortunately it's a sound I've come to fear. It's the signal that he's here, the boy that's been following me for the past month.

He looks like any ordinary boy, if an ordinary boy is from the 80's and is see through from the waist down. He's been showing up more frequently lately, and that can only mean one thing. He's come to get me.

I know this because it happened to my older sister, she told me not to look when I heard the sound but I thought she was crazy, well that's what the police said anyway. So when I first heard it I knew what it was, but looked despite her warnings.

My mattress squeaks and moves downwards as the boy climbs onto the bed. I feel him crawl closer to me and grip the top of the covers, ready to pull it down. I curl into myself further and hope that he will go away. But my fear rears up again when my covers are thrown off me and the bed.

The boy is sitting next to my head, a creepy smile plastered on his face, and a transparent knife in his hand. The hand with nothing in it reaches out and brushes hair away from my eyes, his icy hands paralysing me with fear.

He puts the knife down and moves his hands to my arms pulling them away from my legs, and then placing them by my side. He then straitens my legs and sits on me, I try to move but his cold hands and body numb me to the point that I can't move.

The boy picks up the knife again and grabs my wrist, he cuts a few lines then grabs my other wrist and does the same. I'm not surprised when I can't feel the knife gliding through my skin, just pins and needles. But my eyes widen when he puts the knife to my chest and stabs it in. The last thing I see is his eyes, his bright blue eyes, then everything goes black.
