My dad quickly became the favorite teacher amongst students. Nobody cared that his robes were patched and frayed. His lessons stayed as interesting as his first one, we studied many interesting creatures and we had lots of fun in his class. The story of Professor Snape in a dress had spread amongst the students, and Professor Snape was in more of a foul mood than usual. Harry had also begun to loathe Divination class, which Hermione and I could only say I told you so. I had decided not to take it, and I don’t know how Hermione is since she’s in Arithmancy with me at the exact same time, but apparently she’s in the class with Harry and Ron.

Hagrid had also begun to teach some more mundane lessons after what happened with Draco and Buckbeak. Hagrid was now spending lesson after lesson teaching us on looking after Flobberworms. The class was now extremely dull, but just like every class I did my best to pay attention and take in as much as I could. I just wish that Hagrid hadn’t lost his confidence because he really does love this subject with all his heart.

At the beginning of October, Quidditch was starting up again, and I was excited to try out for the team. Cedric had the duty of making everyone re-tryout no matter if you were on the team before. Of course, Draco was still on the Slytherin team, he didn’t have to try out as long as his father kept buying his way onto the team. I made the team again, and so did Jude, which made us both very happy.

Third years can go into the village of Hogsmeade that’s next to the school, and Ron told him to ask Professor McGonagall to sign the slip for him and Hermione told him that he should stay in school anyways and not make a fuss about going, but Harry was really set on going.

I have been spending a lot of time with Jude, between helping her with some homework on days that Draco has Quidditch practice and sitting next to her mainly all of my classes.

The first Hogsmeade weekend was coming up quickly on us on Halloween, and Harry had decided to ask Professor Mcgonagall if she would sign his permission slip, but she refused, saying that since she was neither his parent or a guardian it would be inappropriate for her to sign his form. Ron, Hermione and I all had to sadly leave him behind this trip.

I actually really enjoyed Hogsmeade. Especially Honeydukes, the sweet shop. Ron and Hermione pretty much stayed together all day, but I was with my Hufflepuff friends. I have been trying to hang out with them some more these days. It's not that I don't enjoy the company of my Gryffindor friends, I just want to hang out with some people from my own house from time to time.

It was about halfway through the day when we decided to go check out the pub The Three Broomsticks. We knew it was going to be crowded because a lot of the students went there, but we didn't care. We still wanted to check it out. As we were walking there, I heard some voices from behind me.

"There she is," one voice says.

"Okay...on three, ready? One...two...three!"

Then I am being pelted with something wet and sticky. Just me though, my friends are left unscathed. I turn quickly and see that I am covered in some kind of weird, wet and soggy, multicolored string and Fred and George Weasley are laughing so hard at my discomfort.

"What is this stuff?" I ask, nearly enraged.

"Silly String," announced Fred, proudly.

"What on Earth is Silly String?" I demand.

"It's a Muggle thing," explains Sadie, "Kids use it to prank each other."

"Why is it so wet and - oh someone please help me get this off of me!"

George is at my side in an instant helping me get the electric blue colored string out of my hair. "We're sorry, Adelaide. We thought you'd find it funny."

"I would if you had done this to Ron instead," I tell him. That makes him smirk. I had just given him an idea.

Once all the Silly String was off me, George looks down at me and asks, "You forgive us?"

"I do," I say, nodding.

"Can I have a hug then, for proof?" He asks, holding his arms out doing a sort of little shimmy motion. It was cute. I roll my eyes at that comment, but I still hug him. He gives me a quick squeeze and releases me.

"Let me know if you get Ron, alright?" I said to them, they nod and assured me that they would tell me everything if they got their little brother.
