Once we all knew that George would be okay, he headed off to London with Fred back to Diagon Alley to run their store for a few more days before Bill and Fleur’s wedding. My mum went home as well, and I went with her.

I wanted to try something out for myself. So one night, a few days before the wedding, I was in my room alone, and I said the words, "Expecto Patronum," quietly. Sure enough it wasn't the usual Ibizan Hound that came out of my wand, instead it was a Magpie bird. It fluttered around my head a few times before I put my wand down.

It was true. I was in love with George. It took Draco becoming a Death Eater for me to finally push him aside enough to let George take over, but it finally happened. I started crying tears of joy. I couldn't wait to tell him about this.

Since my mum didn't let me leave the house out of fear for my life I didn't get to see George again until Bill and Fleur's wedding. I wore a summer dress, a-line cut, v-neck with thin straps, that ended above my knee. It was black, with a lace floral overlay. I had pinned up my hair, because it was hot outside today.

Fred and George were there when mum and I arrived at the top

Fred and George were there when mum and I arrived at the top.of the hill. They looked like they were having a serious conversation too. George looked like he didn't want to be having the conversation they were having either. They stopped when they saw mum and I approaching them. George smiled at us and greeted us warmly.

"There you are!" He said as we hugged, "I've been waiting for you to arrive. You both look lovely, by the way. Come on, I'll show you to your seats." He held my hand as he walked my mum and I down the hill. "Your dad and Tonks are already here. They arrived not long ago."

"Oh good," I say, nodding.

We were at the bottom of the hill now, and reaching the tent where the ceremony was being held. Before I took my seat, George said, "There's something that I need to talk to you about later, alright?"

"There's something I need to tell you, too," I say, smiling at him.

"I'll see you in a bit," he says and then places a quick kiss onto my forehead before walking back to the hill.

Ginny looked gorgeous in her gold bridesmaids dress. Fleur really wanted to put her bridesmaids in pink, but decided not to so it wouldn’t clash with Ginny’s hair. A few rows in front of me I hear the Weasley’s Auntie Muriel scoff and say, “Ginevra’s dress is far too low cut,” to which no one replied.

The ceremony was a bit longer than the last wedding that I attended here at the Burrow in the early days of this month, and there were far more people at this wedding than when my dad married Tonks, too.

Then it was time for the reception to start, and us guests stood aside as the tent was transformed for us. The seats on which we had all been sitting on rose into the air as the canvas walls of the marquee vanished, so that they stood beneath a canopy supported by golden poles, with a glorious view of the sunlit orchard and countryside.

Next, a pool of molten gold spread from the center of the tent to form a gleaming dance floor; the hovering chairs grouped together themselves around small, white-clothed tables. Which all floated gracefully back to Earth around it, and the golden-jacketed band trooped toward a podium. It was getting dark when the dancing started after we all ate dinner, and after everyone had been dancing for a good moment and everyone was hopped up on butterbeer, or firewhiskey, or champagne, is when George asked to dance with me, of course I accepted.

It was a slower song, and we danced together very close to each other. "You look beautiful," he said, his voice soft.

"You do too," I tell him.

His smile actually vanished and I didn't know why. He just says, "Come with me."

I followed him out of the tent, all the way to the front of the house so no one would hear us talking. “So, Fred and I were talking last night, and he brought something to my attention that I never thought of.”

“What is that?” I ask, interested.

“He asked me how I knew for sure that you loved me,” he admits, looking at his feet, not wanting to look me in the eyes.

“Well, what did you tell him?” I ask, curiously.

He shrugs his big shoulders at me, “I told him I didn’t know. Just that you say you are.”

“And what did he say about that?”

He speaks his next sentence quickly, like he doesn’t want to say it. “That your word wasn’t good enough anymore. That you claimed that you loved me before but it ended up not being true. Now, don’t get mad at him, he is just looking out for me because he doesn’t want me to get hurt again.”

“I know,” I say, crossing my arms over my chest.

“He was right though,” George says, speaking normally again. “You did claim you were in love with me before and it ended up not being true. So, I kind of agree with him that just taking your word for it is not enough. You’re going to have to show it to me in other ways.”

“Fine, there’s a way that I can prove it to you, without using words,” I reach into my bag, that held way more than it looked like it did, and I took my want out, directed it at the sky, and looked right into George’s face gleaming in the light from the Weasley’s porch and say, “Expecto Patronum.”

A jet of silver light shoots out of my wand, and instead of the Ibizan hound that my Patronus usually takes isn’t there, instead it’s a Magpie bird. It flutters around George, and he looks at it, stunned. He is remembering what I told him about when and if your Patronus changes. When your Patronus changes, it usually changes into the Patronus of the person you’re in love with.

“Does that satisfy you?” I ask as I put my wand back into my bag.

A smile takes over George’s face. “Yes, it does.” I hug him then, holding onto him for a good moment, “Wait. How do I know that you’re not just in love with Fred? We have the same Patronus, you know.”

That makes us both laugh. I look up at him smiling. “I guess we don’t know for sure. You better watch out, if I think you’re attractive that means I have to think that he is, too, right? I mean you guys are identical.”

“Nah,” he says, shrugging again, “I’m better looking than he is.”

Then a large and silver Lynx came running across the field. Someone sent a message. George and I started running, following it all the way back to the tent where everyone was. It stopped in the middle of the dance floor and spoke in the loud, deep, slow voice of Kingsley Shacklebolt.

“The Ministry has fallen. Scrimgeour is dead. They are coming.”

Everything seemed to be fuzzy and slow. Harry and Hermione jumped from their seats and drew their wands, and George next to me did the same, so I copied them. Harry and Hermione threw themselves into panic mode when we heard somebody scream. Guests started to Disapparate around us, which meant one thing: the protection charms on the Burrow were now broken.

I turn to look at George. “Get out of here, now! Go find Fred and your family and stay together.” I tell him, my voice frantic.

He nods, not putting up any kind of protest to this, “Stay safe, okay? I love you.”

“I love you, too,” I tell him and then we separate after one very quick hug.

My mum is next to me then grabbing my hand getting me out of there as quick as she could. "You stay here," she says, her tone stern, "I'm going back to help the others."

"I could have just brought myself he mum, you didn't need to come with me."

"That doesn't matter anymore, I have to go," she says and then she's gone.

She ces back about an hour later, I was still awake, and sitting on the couch waiting for her. "Everyone is safe. They left us alone when they realized Harry wasn't there. Everyone is back to their homes completely safe."

"Oh good," I say, nodding. I stand up then and I give her a hug. "I could have helped you know, like I did the night Dumbledore died."

"Darling," she says, cupping my face, "we never wanted you kids to join us that night. You know the rules. It doesn't matter that you're seventeen, you're still in school, you're not part of the Order."

"Fine," I say, stepping back. "I'm going to bed."

"Goodnight," she says as I start up the stairs.

"Goodnight," I say, not turning back to look at her.

The next day I woke up, ate breakfast, got ready for the day and I went to Fred and George's shop. The store wasn't busy, and Fred was alone at the front counter going through a box of new products. He actually smiled when he saw me.

"Hey there!" He greets me, happily, "if it isn't Miss Patronus, how are you?"

"Of course he told you already," I say back, but I'm smiling.

"Of course," he says, still smiling.

"Where is he?" I ask, my eyes suddenly shifting around the store again.

"Upstairs in the flat, changing the bandages around his ear. You can go up there if you want, the door is open. He'd love to see you."

"Great, thanks," I say and I take off for the stairs that lead to their flat. I entered it no problem, and I started calling out George's name.

"Addie?" He calls back.

"Yes, where are you?"

"The bathroom, Darling," he says, a slight chuckle in his voice.

I headed in that direction, and when I saw him, I stopped in my tracks. I didn't realize how relieved I was to know he was okay after last night until I saw him in person. He turns to look at me, and he smiles that sweet, adorable smile that I love so much at me.

I pulled him into a kiss then. A long kiss. He wraps his long arms around me tightly, he must have been as relieved to see me as I was him.

"I was so worried," I tell him as I pull back from him. "I had to come see you in person."

"I was worried about you, too," he admits. "I'm glad you came here, darling."

I noticed then he hasn't finished putting a bandage on his bear yet. "Do you need help with that?" I ask, looking at his ear, he smiles lightly.

"Could you? I just can't get it right."

"Sit down," I say, smiling at him. He sits on the toilet while I begin to gather the bandages to cover up his ear. "This seems to be healing well," I tell him.

"It is, yes," he says, nodding slightly.

"So, what happened after I left last night?"

"They destroyed the tent," he says, quickly, "after they realized Harry wasn't there they trashed the place and left."

"I wish my mum would have let me stay."

"I'm glad she didn't," he says, his tone was serious. "You didn't need to be there for that. I'm glad she took you home."

"I could have helped."

"It didn't even come to a fight," he says, as I finish placing the fresh bandage on his ear. He pulls me down onto his lap, keeping his arms around me. His tone was soft when he spoke again. "We're all alive, and that's all that matters." He plants a kiss onto my cheek.

"I guess you're right," I say, settling into his grasp, holding him against my body. "I love you."

He kisses my head, "I know you do. I love you, too."
