"Elektra will be safe with you?"
Dad asked Sam, Sam nodded and glanced up at Bumblebee he also nodded his head. My Dad sighed and looked over at Rob, Ryan and the other soldiers who were ready to go. John and Seymour had to go and get word out to the air force, myself, Sam and Bumblebee were going to the sneak the cube out of here, which was now a small cube thanks to Bee, and hide it somewhere in the city. Everything was arranged, but my Dad was having second thoughts and worrying about my safety.
"Dad, il be fine. I promise you."
I reassured him, pulling him into a hug, giving a small smile to Rob, Ryan and the rest of the team over his shoulder, Dad pulled back and nodded slightly. Not liking the thought of letting me go off alone with a boy id just met and a bunch of robots.
"You'd better keep that promise, El. Stay safe, okay?"
He told me as Rob and Ryan started to pull him away, I nodded and saluted him, causing him to smile a little, he turned and carried on walking before quickly turning around again.
"Witwicky, if Elektra gets hurt or worse, it'll be your ass I come after, got it!?"
Dad said sternly, not a hint of non-seriousness on his face, Sam gulped a little and nodded.
"Yes, sir."
Sam agreed, adding on the 'sir' after my father had raised his eyebrows. Dad nodded and finally began walking off, giving me a small smile one last time. I felt tears well up in my eyes as I watched him walk away, I shook my head.
"Dad?"
I called out, Dad turned around and I ran over to him, jumping into his arms, giving him a hug for the last time before we left. My Dad was strong and an amazing soldier but he'd only fought against other humans, this was a army of huge robots, and as much I don't like to think it, I might not see him again, he could be killed, or I could be.
"Be careful, please?"
I told him, pulling away and looking into his eyes, tears threatening to spill over at any second, my Dad nodded, beads of sweat on his forehead, he kissed my cheek. I mean, sure he was going to escort us through the city but as soon as we left this building, he would no longer be my Dad, he would be a soldier and he would be doing whatever he can to keep everyone else safe, not himself and that is what terrified me.
"I will, I love you, sweetheart. Be careful."
He told me, kissing my cheek again before Rob and Ryan jogged off to get on with their job, Dad smiled at me one last time before following them and shouting out orders. I sighed, turning back to Sam and Bumblebee, Sam took my hand as Bumblebee turned back into a yellow car and myself and Sam quickly got in. Bumblebee began driving us out of the base, I turned around and saw my father, Rob and Ryan all in an army tank type vehicle behind us with a huge gun, which gave me some comfort, knowing he was there right behind me, for the moment. I was sat in the front passenger seat, whilst Sam sat in the drivers seat, although he wasn't driving. We had put the cube in the backseats, the seat belt on it, just in case. I looked over every now and then to make sure it was still there and it was okay.
"There, that's Optimus."
Sam said, pointing ahead at a truck speeding down the road, we drove straight past it and I frowned, looking back, weren't we even going to stop or wait for him? I shook my head as I realized I had worried about nothing as Optimus spun around on the road and began following us, another silver car following along behind it. I assumed it wasn't a threat or Optimus, Bumblebee and the army would have taken it out already. We carried on speeding down the road, heading towards the city, where it would all begin.
