Jake, Kinsa, and Lotus appeared inside of the Alpha Squad’s house with Lotus pouncing on top of Kinsa, making him drop Darzay’s weapons, and snapping at him. Kinsa held her maw back from sinking her teeth into his skull and attempted pushing her away, but she wouldn’t budge.
“Get this thing off of me Igneous,” he yelled, but before Jake could act, Lotus began malfunctioning as electricity sparked from her metal body. Kinsa finally pushed her away from him and watched as she shut down. Jake walked over to him and helped him to his feet.
“Thanks, Igneous,” he said, looking down at Lotus. “That robot is a little too violent if you ask me.”
“Uhh, Kinsa?”
“Yeah?”
“That wasn't me.”
“Of course it wasn't,” a bright female voice spoke followed by a short giggle. The boys turned around to see Sitha standing on the staircase with her hand on her hip and something that resembled a ray gun in her right hand. Rai came downstairs with Red following behind him. They both wore scarves around their necks, which Rai had made for just the both of them. Rai’s scarf was blue while Red’s scarf was red.
“Thanks, Sitha,” Kinsa had said, “but what's up with that thing in your hand?”
“This,” she said, presenting her new device to Kinsa and Jake, “is my newest creation. It sends out electromagnetic waves that will short circuit any electrical currency.” Jake and Kinsa looked at each other, then gave Sitha a puzzled look, showing her that they did not understand a single word she had said. In response, she rolled her eyes and groaned.
“This thing here shuts down robots. Do you both get it now?”
“Foxes are too smart for their own good,” Rai said jokingly, followed by a stifled laugh.
“Oh quiet, rat breath! I had to explain it to you ten times!”
“I told you that no one else would understand you. Maybe Mathius would because no one ever understands him either.” Kinsa picked up Darzay's weapons and looked around for a spot to put them in, but to him, there was nowhere to set them to make it look neat.
“Hmm, where can I put these,” he asked himself, walking away from the group.
“Aren’t those Darzay’s weapons,” Rai asked.
“Yeah,” Jake answered softly, “and you won’t believe what we went through to get them. Dad wanted us to get his weapons because Darzay’s joining us now.” Sitha and Rai were both blown away from hearing that, and they weren’t sure if they should take it as the truth or not.
“What?!” They both yelled out.
“Dad basically had no other choice. Darzay knows more about Zubelon than any of us do. Don’t you guys remember what he said about making tough choices? I’m pretty sure Dad weighed his options pretty well.”
“He’s the reason why Agnus is dead,” Rai shouted out. “How can you be so sure that we can even trust him and his gang?”
“His pack is dead. Zubelon killed them all. Darzay’s only with us for revenge. After that, it’s Dad’s choice to either let him live or not. Anyway, let’s get off of this topic. Sitha, what can you do about Lotus here?”
“That’s what you’re naming the robot,” Kinsa asked from a distance.
“I...like the name.” Sitha rubbed her forehead and looked down at Lotus, sighing. She paused for a moment as she analyzed the live parts of the german shepherd as well as the robot areas which caused a bead of sweat to trickle down her smooth skin.
