George and Dream took a couple hours to spend time on their newly made Minecraft world, with countless killings and banter occurring in the minutes they spent in the infinite, pixelated land. Dream had felt the most happiness he felt since the whole situation with George began. Sitting in call just him and George, no one else to interrupt, only the tone of his best friend's voice filling his ears. It felt like pure bliss to him. George truly made him feel at peace, but the internal battle of whether it was just their friendship or something more continued to burden his mind.

It isn't long until George can no longer maintain clicking against his mouse and keyboard due to the sleepiness overcoming him and settles it with Dream to call it a night,

"I can't fight my eyes anymore Dream, I gotta go to bed," George hesitates, "but I'm glad we cleared everything up. I don't think I could have handled that tension much longer."

Dream brushed off George's remark with a light laugh before responding, "Don't worry, I won't keep you up any longer. Get your beauty rest."

George scoffs, "Bye Dream."

The recognizable ding notified Dream of the end of him and George's call. His eyes dart to the corner of his monitor where the Minecraft chat resides and the words "GeorgeNotFound left the game." present themselves to Dream. The now familiar pit in Dream's stomach returns. He's noticed it always seems to linger the moment contact with George ceases. The sweet hum rolling of George's lips no longer fills his headset, only the silent air.

Why do I feel this way, Dream can't help but wonder. It seems like every moment George passes through Dream's mind the warmth inside him grows. Falling for someone again was never his plan, let alone for his best friend. Love has never been on his side, yet he can't help but believe it would be so different with George. That's if he even felt the same. And that's the thought that haunts him the most.

Sighing, he pulls himself away from his PC and plops himself onto his bed. It's a reminder that everyday is the same. Dream wakes, plays minecraft, eats, just to fall asleep again. The only light Dream ever feels anymore is when he's with George. There was no point in denying it anymore, but Dream felt it was his secret to keep. Not much time passes before Dream's eyes drift shut and he sinks into slumber.

Christmas lights are strung along the pier and the foliage around the area. Dream strolls hand and hand with the boy next to him. He's unaware of who it is quite yet, but he doesn't care to know. Just the idea of this loving moment fills his soul.

They continue to walk in silence to the edge of the pier, simply enjoying the company of each other. As they stand next to one another, the two boys listen to the crashing of the waves and stare at the stars. Dream takes in every piece of this moment as he can; he feels at peace.

As much as Dream just wants to cherish the moment, curiosity gets the better of him. He turns to the boy standing next to him. Just when he thought this experience couldn't get better his eyes are met with George's staring back at him. The soft glow from the moonlight illuminates George's face in a way Dream has never seen. His pale skin glows and his brown eyes have never looked more alive. Dream can't help but drift his eyes to George's lips, pink and just so kissable.

The words spill out before Dream can stop them, "You're just so pretty, George."

Dream immediately sees the red flush his best friend's cheeks and the smile spread across his lips. The butterflies swirl in Dream's stomach over such a small, natural reaction.

George manges to mutter out a soft "Thank you,"amongst his flusteredness. This only sends Dream further into a bundle of warmth.

"Can I confess something to you?"

"Of course, Dream. I'm always here for you."

"I've been thinking about this for awhile now, but I'm afraid to ruin anything between us."

George giggles, "I don't think there's anything you could say that would ruin our relationship, Dream."

"Well, you're the first person I've felt safe with in so long. I never imagined myself in a relationship ever again, but you, you change everything. I've really fallen for you George."

The redness returns to George cheeks. Dream traces his eyes over George's face just trying to read his emotions; it seems George is at a loss for words.

"Dream I-"

Dream interrupts, "You don't have to say anything. I understand if you don't feel the same." Dream's heart is consumed with darkness as the words leave his mouth.

"No, no. That's the exact opposite of why I'm speechless. I never thought you'd admit this to me. I never thought you would feel the same way."

Flames ignite inside of Dream. He's never felt a rush quiet like what he was experiencing right now. Cupping his hands around George's pale, flushed cheeks, Dream finally closes the distance between the two.

Their lips crash into each other. Pure exhilaration runs through every nerve in Dream's body. He literally feels like every inch of him is on fire. The feelings only deepen as George kisses him back. Dream's afraid to let go, if they part he may never feel this again. It's too good to be true.
