Kaidou's fingertips traced his bottom lip. He was flopped down on his bed, lost in his thoughts, but he finally settled on one:

There was no way he could tell his mom that his first kiss was with a male.

He flipped over and tried to forget about it- although it was easier said than done. Eventually he drifted off into a pleasant dream.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yup. He was still lovesick when he woke up.
'Or maybe,' He thought, rushing to the bathroom to throw up, 'Just normal sick.'
After he was finished, he stood up, cursing the Moche theatre's popcorn and hoping Saiki didn't get sick too.
He quickly brushed his teeth and started to get ready.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"I'm sorry, I have to study." He winced, hoping that Saiki heard his hidden message that his phone was bugged.

Kusuo, of course, knew this. He nodded.

"Maybe next time then?"

Shun offered a weak thumbs up, before going back to his work.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Shun continued to puke in the mornings, and on the fifth day of it's occurrence his mother took him to the doctor.
The doctor said nothing appeared to be wrong, that it was probably just a cold bug and to sleep it off.
So that's what Kaidou did.
It left after seven days, so he didn't really think about it again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It was after his punishment ended that the next strange thing happened.

A month and a half after he went on the date, he was finally allowed to talk to Kusuo again.

He was so excited in the weeks prior, he didn't even notice that he had gained some weight.

But as he looked in the mirror, he noticed there was a little pudge on his stomach. He found it odd; he was known for not being able to gain fat (or muscle, for that matter). Deep down, he was sure that something was wrong, but that was future Shun's problem.

Kaidou looked down at his phone screen. If he didn't get going he was gonna be late, so he sprinted out of the house without breakfast.

"Saiki!"

Saiki turned, his eyes softening.

"Finally ungrounded huh?"

"Yeah! Uh... how'd you know?"

"Lucky guess, I guess."

After they walked a little, Kusuo noticed Shun's thoughts drift into sort of a panic.

"You doing okay?"

"Yeah, why?" Kaidou said. You know, like a liar.

"You look like you don't feel very well."

Shun didn't really have a response, because in all honesty he was feeling like he went on the tilt-a-whirl 17 times. That is to say, dizzy and a little sick. Eventually he just replied:

"Just a little tired."

This brought Saiki's frown down further, but he didn't say anything.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
At the third month after their first kiss, Saiki noticed while they were having a picnic.
Now, Kuske had upgraded his limiter, so he could see how people looked without looking through them. He was afraid he would have to change the settings.
It wasn't that noticeable while he was standing up in his baggy clothes, but the moment Shun sat down, Kusuo could tell there was an issue.
So, he reached up and turned the stick of his limiter.
He had to stop himself from gasping.
There was a plum-sized mass in Shun's abdomen.
He quickly changed the settings back. He had never been this much at a loss.
"How've you been doing, Shun?"
"Fine. I've been looking at colleges."
'So he doesn't know.'  Saiki thought. 'Maybe I should do something?'
"And physically?"
Shun's face started heating up.
"I... I've been fine there too." Is what he said, but Saiki heard his thoughts.
"Kaidou... you're a terrible liar."
Shun's face kept simmering a light pink.
"Yeah..." he laughed a little. "I guess I am."
Three minutes later, Kusuo finally coaxed Shun to tell him what was wrong.
"Hmm. You should probably go to the doctor."
"Nah, I'm sure it's fine."
'It is absolutely not fine. You've got a tumor or something.' Saiki thought to himself.
"It's better to be safe than sorry.
Kaidou sighed. "I suppose you're right. Alright. I'll go."
