"Looks like someone finally got to you, Kusuo."
Shun looked confused, but Kusuo only quirked an eyebrow.
"...for you to do this, I mean, you must really been in love."
"We didn't-"
"I know, dear brother. As I recall, you're asexual, correct?"
"..."
"I'll take the silence as a reluctant yes. I assume that your powers acted on their own due to your attraction to Kaidou. This isn't the first time your powers have done something like this, correct? Acted out of the blue, I mean. There have been other incidents, mainly involving bugs, if I remember correctly." Kuske got up and stretched. "It seems your body was almost AWARE that you were asexual, and decided you needed to reproduce. It's as simple as that."
"I-"
"Would you like me to check on it while you're here? The child, I mean."
"If that's what Shun wants."
The person in question was currently zoned out as if he was trying to wrap his head around everything that was happening.
"It seems he is still trying to compute. I'll give you a minute." Kuske said, walking out of the room.
As for Kaidou, the initial shock was starting to die down, leaving him with a lot of information he didn't know how to process.
"Shun. Are you alright?"
"I'm... fine."
"That wasn't your 'I'm telling the truth' voice"
"I'm... not really sure. It's just... a lot to comprehend, you know? I've been ignoring this since day one instead of trying to think it through, but now I'm getting a lot of new information and it's... just piling up. I can't exactly ignore the kid anymore... not when it's moving around..."
They sat in silence for a little while.
"I'm... not good at words. Or actions. Or anything that comes with comforting another human being, really. All I know is... everything I've ever done was for entirely selfish reasons. Up until you came along. You've... changed me. More than I'd like to admit. And I don't know much more about that... but I want to be there for you. With you. Because... I love you Shun. Inexplicably, unexpectedly, undeniably. And if there's anything I can do... just let me know."
Kaidou offered a weak smile. "And you said you weren't good at words."
Saiki felt the corners of his mouth rise a little too.
After a little bit, Kaidou sighed, resting a hand on his stomach subconsciously.
"You can... call your brother back now if you want. I haven't gotten to see yet. Something about it being traumatic... or something."
"Traumatic?"
"Yeah... I've been in denial about it for a long time." He inhaled sharply, letting it go slowly. "But I think it's time for a wake-up call."
"You sure?"
"...yeah. I'm sure." He gently motioned for Saiki's hand, as if asking permission.
Saiki obliged. "As long as you're sure."
There was a moment of silence as Kusuo beckoned Kuske through telepathy.
"Hey, Kaidou. How's it going?"
"Fine."
"That's good. I assume you've done this before?"
"Yes."
"Well, get ready while I set up."
Shun heaved himself up, pretending not to notice the little telekinetic lift Kusuo offered. He got ready like instructed, a little embarrassed.
"You should stop sucking in your stomach. It's not good for either of you."
Kaidou blushed and relaxed, his stomach expanding further than he expected it to. Kusuo looked slightly surprised too. Sensing Shun's unease, Saiki grabbed his boyfriend's hand.
"Saiki?"
"Mm?"
"Thank you."
