Chapter 6) Scattered Truth

Her mind was silent . .

The world was silent around her . .

She couldn't hear the sound of the other cells .

A deafening echo filled her mind as she heard whispers close by . .

Dua opened her eyes slowly , not able to move from the ground she was laying in .

Her body was numb , every inch of her body was in pain as she forced herself to sit up .

Dua looked around the dark cell she was in . She couldn't see anything , her heightened sense felt so mundane

Aye , Court jaane ka tame ho gaya hai (it's time to go to court) ..... ,, Female jail warden came and announced to her

Dua sat down on the floor and stared blankly at the bars of her cell

Sunta hai ya nahi ? (Did you heard or not?) .... ,, Female warden yelled at her

Kapde badal le , Gadi lagi padi hai (Change your clothes , Vehicle is ready ) .... ,, Female warden threw saree on her and walked out of her cell

Dua unbuttoned her kurti hai and wore blouse . She put her head under the Peticot (Underskirt) and tied around her waist and then she opened the knots of her salwaar and lastly messingly wrapped the white cotton saree of dark blue border on Peticot (Underskirt) and made two simple pleats at shoulder

Dua stared deeply at her Jail ID card . Her name on the ID card pierced her heart and she clenched her jaw tightly

She used to see her name on school , college and Ration card but seeing her name with criminal identify on Jail ID card was making her blank

There were no emotions in her . .

After ten minutes , that female warden came with few female inspector and handcuffs her hands and walked out of the cells of the the jail

Other cell's women looked at her and some felt bad for her but few of them were waiting for her to return . They sneered at her natural beautiful face , which never faded even after staying five years in Prison

Sunlights made her eyes to shut immediately , she breathed but knew she would come back soon because in no way , she would ever be walked out freely from this jail

Dua dragged by the team of police and she sat down inside the Jail Van with tight police security

Her eyes were dropping off . There were no sight of pain , anxiousness , and happiness too that her case reopened and today was her first hearing

In this one month , Arin worked hard on her case . She gave him important information but still there was so much SCATTERED TRUTH that needed to enlighten

She closed her eyes and landed into the world before dark

Dua betey Ap thik ho na . Kisi baat ki koi takleef to nahi hai naa . Ap apne papa se share kar sakte ho (Dua , my daughter , Are you fine . Is there any problem ? You know that you can share with your father) ...... ,, Her father asked Dua on phone

Dua genuinely smiled and her eyes welled up by hearing the concerning words of her father

No Papa . I'm good and everything is fine here . Don't worry . .... ,, Dua softly replied to him but heart of a father was still not at peace
