All still you stand,
Just afraid of where you'll end.
I remember, when you first,
First arrived back at home. You stood upon the cage,
Afraid to move an inch.
We were rather worried,
Still observing. The days went by and we got closer,
Me, my Mum, Sister, Brother, Dad.
You stood on our shoulder,
Bit us, Chirped.I fed you food, and let you drink.
You became part of my everyday life.
I anticipate coming home from school,
Just because of you.Until today,
Something wasn't right.
You wasn't in your usual self,
Tired, not cheerful and weak. You laid down, all weak, in pain,
We panicked and called the vet.It happened..
The next moment, you're gone, from Earth.
My heart hurts, like a thousand knives stabbing through.
It hurts to see you like that..
Warm tears welling up in my eyes,
Dripping, tearing, mourning.I was in despair,
Not knowing what to do.
No more anticipation of coming home after school.
No more chirping, playing or hearing you.I hope you are living well there,
I really hope you are.
An angel in heaven,
The most adorable. You were there for me when I needed you.
The closeness/relationship we have,
People will never feel.
But Remy, I just want you to know,
That I love you ❤️💕🐤Dedicated to Remy (Beloved Lovebird that has passed on)
