I told myself I was fine 20 minutes ago, but that was before I saw that quote on Facebook.

I told my best friend I was done texting you, but that was before I saw your name in my contacts.

I told my heart to stop pounding; it wasn't worth it, but that was before I noticed your smile.

I told everyone I was over you, because in all honesty that's what I wanted to do.

I told you it wasn't you who I liked, not 'cause I didn't wanna tell you, but because I was scared of your reaction.
