The feeling of racing through the streets of Boston is one of the best things, it's exhilarating, adrenalin in your veins and the feeling of fire licking at your paws. It had been a year since my pack was attacked. And now-"Come back here you mutt!" I ignored the annoying voice of the butcher behind me. I had stolen a piece of meat from him so I was running, and he was chasing. It's was actually quite amusing, that is until he threw a knife at me; that's when I really ran. Finally I got to an alleyway where I now lived. It was an isolated place, no humans wandered here and most animals avoided the alleyway because of me. I lied down panting, I was extremely tired from the run and hunger tore at my stomach which reminded me of the food near my paws. I tore into the raw meat. The flavor hit my tongue and I licked my chops. As I finished my meal I heard a rustle in the bushes. I stood up snarling, my hackles raised, then I heard it again. It was coming from behind the trash cans. I started forward when something darted out. It was only a rat but I felt shaken. Deciding I was done for the day I crawled into a warehouse next to the alleyway. I circled around and the plopped down. Soon my eyes got heavy and I feel into darkness.

"Boom," I heard a clap of thunder from outside and I woke up shivering, my fur wet from the rain that managed to come in through the hole in the roof. The clouds blocked out any hope of light from the moon. I stumbled back and decided to move to a more sheltered area. I then curled up and rested my head on my paws. The moon shown through the leaves as they rustled in the midnight breeze. I smelled the sweet scent of pine reminding me of my old home. Then I hear the twigs snap behind me, I freeze knowing what I will see if I turn around. But I can't control my movement and slowly I turn looking into the eyes of my nightmare. There golden glow hypnotizing me. I back away in fear my eyes never leaving the eyes of the monster. I want to rip out his eyes, gouge them out with my claws but all I can do is stare and back away. He snarls at me and the lunges at my neck but clamps his jaws on my old scar, it rips open again blood pouring down. All of a sudden I am in another dream but my shoulder keeps burning. There in the middle of the room is a man, but he has the same eyes as the wolf who tore my world apart. He is with another man and the talk in the words of human. All I can pick up is "wolf pack and territory," then once again everything fades to black.

I wake again but this time because of pain. A burning sensation from my shoulder. I lick my shoulder, it's hot and it almost feels although it's burning my tongue. I whine escapes my mouth and then I collapse the feeling of burning spreading through my body. My muzzle feels odd and my ears feel different also. Soon I hear a crack, my bones are morphing. I wither in pain as time goes by, and I slowly sink into my subconscious.
