Queen Elizabeth I

Now first chapter. Hi. This is me basically rambling about random thoughts that I have during the day.

So I've had this idea for quite a while. In history class we were learning about Queen Elizabeth I of England. The facts were that she never married, hated men, and devoted herself to her kingdom.

Now that's fine and all but Parliament had insisted she get a husband to produce an heir (Basically, make a baby). Her response was that she was married to her kingdom and that she wasn't going to marry fools *ahem*men*ahem*. So she died without an heir to the throne and the throne was given to her cousin or something.

But I was left thinking... What if the reason to that Elizabeth didn't marry was because she wasn't interested in men? What if she was lesbian? I mean I could be wrong but I'm just putting the idea out there.

Lesbians and gay people have existed since the Greek times. I mean some Greek gods are part of the LGBTQ community. Hercules had lovers of both female and male, Apollo too.

I mean just think about it. Think about it. She wouldn't be the first monarch to be a squiggle, someone from the LGBTQ community (it's what I call them). Others have come before and after her but most were just killed once they were outed. So I could see why she never truly claimed that she was lesbian.
