Mulan remake

Alright we have to talk about the Mulan remake.

Tell me this isn't just me but it was horrible. I mean what the heck!? The grandma, the cricket nor Mushu were in the movie. The grandma was funny, the cricket and Mushu were some comedy relief, but they weren't there. I couldn't even tell the difference between the three soldiers that are with Mulan during the journey. It's all just a blur really.

Then there's this new girl. The witch, I can't remember her name it's too long, she wasn't in the original and its alright. But what was her over all role in this? I know she turns good in the end but why put a character in when she's gonna die. The only thing she did was "persuade" Mulan into going into the dark side and helped Shan Yu, the bad guy (that is his name right?), invade the palace and take the emperor.

Then to top it off, she and Mulan bring in a 'colorful' vibe. Let's go with that. I mean I hope I'm not the only one that read it that way. I felt like there was more emotion between those two women than there was between Mulan and her future husband.

And the. To end the movie there are fireworks. Huzzah.

Tell me what you think. Was it as I say it was or did you see it differently? I would like to know you point of view.
