1. NOTHING

Today I was thinking about nothing..... No not nothing.... Ughh....How do I explain.... Yeah! ...."NOTHING" as a topic yeah.
N-O-T-H-I-N-G....... Nothing!!
Just a simple seven letter word right?... Soo simple to say , nothing this nothing that.... Yeah?
Me thinks not the same .... For me it is one of the many confusing, illusive, deceiving English words.....
It's dictionary meanings are, not anything, no single thing, empty.... ect. But it is used to mean many different things.....it depends on the expression, way of speech, timing and many other things.... The meaning of Nothing.

There are many times I've heard people use it in casual chatting etc. but they don't always make..... correct sense.... At least not according to the dictionary..... But since we are sooo used to it we understand what they mean..... or...don't care to.......?
You know... the most I have heard it is when I ask someone- " What are you doing? " They reply with a quick, short and simple- " NOTHING " But it is not-as-simple as they think ...... I for one think that's completely WRONG!!
Like seriously?..... You can never be doing NOTHING!! Does that even make sense??!! Even when you say you're doing nothing you are talking to me....Leave that...you have to be at least one thing like.....Sitting..... Standing.....Laying on the couch..... Anything? .....You've got to be at least breathing.....Woah that made me think only vampires can do 'nothing'.... .
Anyhow "NOTHING" can actually mean "MANY THINGS" ... Ain't it quite ironic.... Right?....that's what I'm talking about too... .
Let's see with the 'What are you doing? Nothing' example... I can point out several meanings based on my experience....

1. When the person is in a bad mood and doesn't want to talk about anything they just say "nothing" To cut the conversation short....
2. The person can also be angry from you and in order to give you a rude reply they say "nothing" when you try to strike a conversation to end it right away....
3. If not those three...... Then the person is not doing anything new... or interesting.... or something unimportant to you.... or even they might be trying to hide something from you (in which case I might want to know about it even more)....... Or they might be trying to say that you don't need to know about what they are doing...
4. Sometimes when you can simple just SEE what they are doing and still ask about it the person gets irritated which they are bound to be as you asked such a stupid question... When YOU CAN SEE RIGHT?? Then the reply with nothing.... I'd do the same...
5. Sometimes there is just No Real Good reason...... Maybe they're trying to be mean... Or something else.... It all depends on the way they say it...
There can be many reasons.......
My advice???..... You don't want???
Still I'll give cause it's my diary..... HAha....I say when replied with "Nothing" Then Nothing is left to say... So just quite the convo and...don't ask stupid questions in the first place if you don't want stupid replies like nothing..
6. .... Nothing can also be seen as a rude reply....but only sometimes...
There can never be nothing happening anywhere... Only place it might be possible is........ I don't think I know... Maybe void.... You might have heard in physics only theoretically possible..... I think nothing happening is the same.

Nothing is just a thoery...... Maybe more.... I can bet you might have surely experienced the - "What are you doing? Nothing?" or even "What are you thinking ? Nothing" moments.....thinking one is also pretty common as most people don't share their mind with everyone cause it pretty common..... But you can never be thinking nothing too while awake
.......instead we mostly think multiple thoughts at once...... So it's complicated to say out loud thus what are you thinking is also a dull question.....cause...when you don't know the person well they obviously won't tell you.... .

MY GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT ?

I gave you some wrong uses of "Nothing" in sentences in these cases you can instead of just 'Nothing' say 'Nothing In Particular' might be a better response but it ALWAYS depends on the conversation..... .
You can also never be "nothing" You are someone very special if not to yourself then to someone else.... It got too cheesy..... Anyway...
But still Nothing is not always wrong in sentences........ For example... You know.... Now I can't think about correct use of nothing....Jaa.... But there are....... Right?

[ mom: What are you doing from 2
Hours???
me : Nothing! Mom. ]

Oops! ....... But I was writing "Nothing"...... Right?
It's a wonder how a discussion about " Nothing " got soo long.....
But...

No prob.... I actually did enjoy writing NOTHING.... (≧▽≦) ...
