our Journey starts in a small town. we get a close up of one of the houses.
inside one of the bedrooms, Kyle was still asleep. then the bedrooms door opens, revealing a Mawile. it jumped onto his bed, trying to wake him up.
Mawile: Maw? Mawile?
Kyle finally wakes up.
Kyle: *yawns* Morning Mawnie, how did you sleep?
Mawnie: Maw!
she was pointing at the clock.
Kyle: oh, todays the day?
Mawnie: Maw!
Kyle smiles at Mawnie. he rubbed her cheek and she put his thumb near her mouth.

*insert Ruby and Sapphire advanced intro*
after Kyle got dressed and had breakfast, he was getting ready to get his first starter pokemon. his mom was getting ready to go to work.
Kyle's Mom: have fun, Kyle. hope Mawnie gets some friends?
Kyle: I hope so too.
we see Mawnie on the couch, looking bored.

Kyle: we better get going, or we'll be late. C'mon Mawnie.
Mawnie jumped off the couch and followed Kyle. they walked to the Pokémon research labs in Littleroot town, which was a walk away.
Red: hey Kyle! getting your first Pokémon partner today?
Kyle and Mawnie looked behind them, seeing Red, his childhood friend and her Pokémon, Charlie the Charmander.
Kyle: hey Red, hows Charlie?
Red: we're doing good, I'm getting my starter pokemon today. you doing the same?
Kyle: yep, I thought Mawnie needs more friends.
we see Mawnie and Charlie playing with each other.
Red: *laughs* well we better get going before the good Pokémon are gone.
Kyle: your right.
they both walked to Littleroot town. they found the research labs and went in.
