[devilman.]"Will I die?"
<time: 15:00 day: eleventh of February>
It was uncomfortable in the suite, neither of them wanting to speak up. They both had no idea how to even word the situation.
Ryo had just killed a man. Without even trying, at that. How do you talk about something like that? Ryo was a murderer.
That was what brought Akira to tears. He didn't want his bestfriend to be known as some killer and be hunted down to lock away for eternity. That was just cruel, he didn't deserve that.
"He was gonna kill us..it was self defense, right?" Akira tried to defend Ryo as much as he could. "I mean, I've known him my whole life. He wouldn't kill anyone without good reason."
Ryo sat on the couch next to Akira, just waiting for some type of vocal info to come from him. Ryo couldn't stop the tears this time, they were caused by him after all.
Ryo couldn't stand the silence between them much longer. If the truth was what Akira needed for him to feel better, than that was what he would get.
"Look Aki-"
"I'll protect you! At any cost. Just..please don't leave me."Akira grabbed onto Ryo, tears still flowing down his face. Ryo was his life, he couldn't lose that.
It did pain him to see Akira like this, but, if this false truth was what kept him around, so be it.
Standing, Ryo led Akira to their shared room.
He sat them down before heading to a drawer to pull out a book that read "Bible" on the outside but contained different contents inside of it. It wasn't the same Bible Akira and his old household had grown up reading and living by, this one was written from a different pov.
Satans pov.
Ryo flipped through the pages, looking for where it started referencing the devils. He would come up with a good enough truth for Akira. A truth that also helped him, himself sleep better at night knowing Akira wasn't gonna get involved or hurt by this false reality.
He sat back down next to Akira on the bed. Placing the book on both of their laps, he ran his finger over the lines written on the page.
Ryo could say whatever he wanted and it would seem like the truth to Akira. The words written on the page could only be read by the creator of the book, afterall.
"W-What does it say?"questioned Akira, his crying dying down as he wiped at his eyes. A tear fell down onto the paper, darkening the area it landed on.
Right on the word; Devilman.
"Devils. The beings that we are fighting against are called Devils. They've been roaming this planet for way longer than you've been born. They thrive off the bad feelings off humans and the poor decisions made by them. Devils come in many shapes and can even take..other forms."Ryo briefly explained to a silent and confused Akira.
Shaking his head, making his messy hair tickle Ryo's cheek from how close they were, Akira protested. "No, no, no. You shouldn't be dealing with this by yourself. Devils? Like, that isn't even a earthly creature, you can't fight a devil alone."
Ryo mentally sighed as he looked away from Akira. Akira would be torn apart if he knew the truth about Ryo's identity.(😏😎)
The brunette rose his hand to caress the blondes cheek, making him look back at him. "Let me help you, Ryo. Please."he begged, staring straight into those dull blue eyes that never showed any sign of interest.
Ryo was about to reject him when he felt the room start to shake. It was slight but he felt it. He grabbed Akira's hand before guiding him towards the closet.
Opening the doors, he gently pushed him into it. Akira spun around quick to ask what this was about but he didnt get the chance. Ryo had already grabbed his headphones and phone and started the playlist.
"Don't leave." The door of the closet shut tightly, leaving Akira alone in the lit up tiny space.
He sighed bringing the headphones up to his ears. The song playing was,"As The World Caves In" making Akira somewhat smile. It was one of the only songs on the playlist that actually made Ryo show a reaction when Akira had played the full playlist for him for the first time.
Akira held his head down in shame. "I can't do anything. I'm no help to him." This couldn't be okay.
Making his mind up, Akira reached for the closet doors handle throwing the headphones aside. He wouldn't be deaf to the world anymore.
Opening the closet door was like opening the gates to a new world. Akira could hear the screams, the breaking of glass, the groans, and the piercing screeches coming from the foreign enemies.
He gulped nearing the door to the room. His steps were small and his brain was scattered. "Can I really do this?" The question kept popping back up in his head with every step closer to the outside world.
Akira stopped, now inside of the living room. His brown eyes stared in horror at the scene outside of the huge glass window.
The glass was tainted in red and yellow blood. Past that was the real tragedy. The flying creatures were raining hell down onto the fragile humans below. It was something Akira had never seen before. These devils were insane. Fire. Blood. Guns. Everything that screamed 'death' was present.
Akira slowly backed away from the window. "This can't be reality. How did the world get like this?"
The glass of the window broke as something came flying into the room, heading straight for Akira.
It would have pierced him straight in the chest had it not been for him stumbling over his feet and falling down. Akira's eyes went wide as he tried to hurriedly crawl away from whatever type of monster this was.
Grabbing onto the doorframe, Akira tried to get up to run, but the monster had wrapped its long tongue like body part around his leg yanking him back down. Akira screamed out for Ryo's help as he was drug across the floor and out of the window.
"P-PLEASEEEE HELPP!! RYOOOOO!!" It was hard to scream while he was being drug down from the air at the terrible fast speed straight down into what seemed like a creatures mouth.
"AKIRA!"
That was the last thing he heard before being swallowed by the devil named Amon.
(a:n: ahhh sorry this toke so long. I'm currently moving, so that's why.)
