At Least One

Astra and Credence arrive at the party.

Credence wears a black three-piece suit with a green tie and silver mask to match. Astra wears a dark green semi-sweetheart dress with silver lightly outlined within the dress. The dress comes to her ankles to show off her silver heels; she wears a matching silver mask to Credences.

"You think anyone will notice us?"

Credence asks.

Astra shakes her head.

"Everyone is wearing darker colours and a mask of some sort. I think it would be rather difficult for them to notice us. I did tell my father we would be here; he's bringing the Scamander brothers and Tina."

As she tells him that, her father walks into the room then. Theseus and Newt are wearing similar suits, both three-pieces, but Newt's tie is golden while Theseus supports a dark blue tie. Tina stands beside Newt in a dark grey, off the shoulder dress that comes to her mid-leg. She also supports heels. Theseus is wearing a black mask while Tina wears a white mask; Newt has a mask, but it's in his hand and is golden like his tie.

Astra and Credence walk towards them.

"Astra, my girl! You look lovely!"

Her dad says, planting a kiss on her cheek.

"You all dress up nice."

Astra replies.

"Newt won't wear the mask to the masked party. Honestly, why do we need him here? Tina and I can help on our own."

Theseus already seems agitated. A man walks by with champagne in glasses. Astra grabs a couple of glasses and hands one to Theseus.

"Lighten up, Thesaurus. We need to blend in if we're to get information and we can't do that if you continue to be tense like you always are. So, have a drink and relax."

Theseus takes the drink and drinks a small sip. After a look around the room, he downs the rest of the glass.

"I wish I could do that and get at least tipsy."

Astra chuckles.

Newt takes out a notepad and scribbles something down; probably that Astra can't get drunk. Something for him to look into later.

"Why did you ask me here? I hate to admit it but Theseus is right; you could've done this without me."

Astra shrugs.

"The more the merrier. Besides, I like your presence. And Tina needed a date."

Tina chokes on her drink.

"What, you think I don't notice what goes on between you two? You don't need to be an empath to notice."

Astra sips her drink some more before offering the rest to Credence. He holds up a hand, denying it.

"I am no fun tipsy; I'll be passed out in the restrooms within an hour and miss all the fun."

Astra raises an eyebrow before passing the drink to Newt. Newt sets it down on another passing tray.

"Now remember; we call Credence Aurel. No one can know who he really is. He'd be dead within an instant. We also must keep our distance from one another; Grindelwald may have some of his men keeping an eye on us."

Everyone nods at Astra before splitting from each other.

"I wonder how they're doing."

Credence wonders out loud to Astra.
