Albus arrives just as Credence carries Astra to her bed. When she passed out she didn't stay unconscious long but they wanted her to stay in bed in case it happened again.
Albus looks around confused.
"Charlie told me that Astra has been throwing up; what's going on?"
"I have a few ideas but I need your second opinion, Albus."
Joanne replies. She wheels herself to the bottom of the stairs and Charlie walks over and picks her up.
"Will one of you boys grab her chair?"
Charlie calls back.
Newt follows Albus up the stairs so the job is left to Theseus. Sighing, he grabs the chair and struggles with it up the stairs. Newt whispers something softly with his wand and the chair floats from Theseus to the top of the stairs. Theseus sighs.
"I could've done that."
Newt shrugs before following the crowd into Astra's room.
Astra lies in her bed, Credence sitting in a chair beside her. Joanne wheels herself into the room onto Astra's other side, Albus following to stand next to her. Theseus and Newt stand awkwardly at the end of the bed next to Charlie.
"Charlie dear, go check on Callum."
Charlie nods at his wife before leaving the room. Albus doesn't look up as he speaks,
"I'm sure you've already told the council if not about Astra then about Credence, Theseus. Maybe you should wait outside for them."
Theseus shakes his head.
"I haven't told anyone yet. I'm only here keeping my lips sealed in honor of the emergency situation."
Newt scoffs.
"You're amongst the first few people to find out about someone who can change the council's outlook of creatures and maintain peace among them and the wizards and your excuse for not telling is an emergency situation? That's typical."
Theseus throws up his hands.
"What do you want me to do, Newt? I'm in a bind here! Not only is Credence Barebone, an ally to Gellert Grindelwald and a threat to Muggles and Wizards alike alive. I also just found out that the same man Credence works for did the impossible and created a hybrid beast who's true intentions we don't know!"
Newt steps closer to his brother intimidatingly.
"First of all Credence no longer works for Grindelwald. He asked to be given a chance to be better and has so far proven to be more honest than you've been our entire lives. He also hasn't had a single 'outburst' since we found him yesterday; so I don't see him as a threat to anyone. As for Astra; she is no beast. You would know that if you spent time getting to know her instead of trying to arrest her. She willing saved Professor Dumbledore yesterday despite knowing it would also save Grindelwald. Because that's the kind of person she is; she wouldn't trade any amount of lives no matter the benefits. I wish there were more people like her around. She would be nothing but good for the council but they would arrest and poke and prod at her until she went mad for eternity."
Astra moans, pulling the blanket to her face.
"Can everyone please stop talking so loud? My head is pounding."
Albus walks over to the brothers.
"Will you two go wait in the living area, please? She needs some quiet."
They both hesitantly walk out of the room and Albus shuts the door behind them.
"Joanne, you said you had some theories?"
