Stuck in an Elevator

Well, this date was a fucking disaster. You and Squidward could have been having a romantic night out, but instead you two end up getting stuck in an elevator. You honestly can't believe this is happening to you. You thought these kinds of cliche situations only happened in movies! And to top it all off, it doesn't seem like help is arriving any time soon. Holy shit, you should have stayed home. Just thirty minutes ago you walked into the elevator expecting to come out in ten seconds, and thirty minutes later you're still standing in the elevator. And the fucking air conditioning in the elevator is broken. What the fuck is this?

Squidward notices the exasperated look on your face and places a tentacle on your shoulder. "Honey, it's gonna be okay", he says softly, "We'll get out of here eventually". You doubt it, but you feel a bit better. Either from the stress or the heat, you start to feel sleepy. You gently lean into Squidward as you doze off.

You wake up hours later on the floor of the elevator. Wait, weren't you leaning against Squidward when you fell asleep? You look around and you see him. Squidward fucking died of heatstroke. What the fuck. You're absolutely floored. Are you dreaming or something? This shit would literally never happen in real life. You pinch yourself, and it hurts. Somehow, this is the reality you live in. This is all too much to take in and you have a stroke and die.
