"Pffft"
He knows. So that brunet groaned.
"Protector of the weak? really Yoshi-kun."
When Tsuna turned around he didn't bother to hide his scarlet face.
"O-oh, shut up! You know that I'm not good with speeches!" he huffed to the side once he's done fixing the man's posture, it was clear that the older brunet is embarrassed. The younger only chuckled.
"Kufufu, that's quite a performance you showed us, Tsunayoshi~ should I reminded that poor soul of this terror?"
The young Don actually considering. "Err, three days? Do you think it'll be enough?"
"A whole week, bossu? Got it" Chrome said instead, there's a gleam in her eyes. That's the least she could do after seeing the idiot land a hit on her beloved sky.
Tsuna sweatdropped. "Okay, a week. Don't go further than that" it's better to let the female guardian have her ways. The last victim she had wasn't in the best condition after the same treatment.
In the meanwhile, Hayato already going a full mother hen mode at the new bruise on the his friend's jaw. But Takeshi, with his top-notch observant skill know exactly why it has to be done. Although...
"Don't you think you're going too far, Tsuna?" The rain sighed softly despite his understanding. "You've had enough scars as it is. Your sense of justice need to be tone down honestly"
There's a twinkle in those brown pair, 'so he knew~'
The brunet chuckled. "That's impossible, Takeshi. Hence why I train—"
"You trained, Sawada-kun?"
"Oh yes, he did" a squeaky voice said.
Seeing the person, Ryohei exclaimed. "Master Pao Pao!"
"Chaossu!"
The guardians turned to him, meanwhile Tsuna himself choked a groan. "The devil is here!"
"Yep, the Spartan is here" Ietsuna let out a soft chuckle.
At least, it's 'Master Pao Pao'. Wait...
Oh.
The brunet blink for a bit. Reborn actually gave him a chance?
His lips formed a smile without his consent.
"Ah, master pao pao. Good afternoon. Why are you coming all the way here?" The young Don said, after bowing respectfully in greeting.
"Of course, to check on my pupils! Now, Did you slack on your training?"
Tsuna sweatdropped, "I... uh... I'm supposed to be on vacation, no?"
The hitman in disguise hummed. "Well, at least you get yourself a sparring partner while away"
"Sparing partner— what?"
He beckoned at the uncouncious man.
The brunet pinched the bridge of his nose. "He's not— Oh my Lord. He's not a sparring partner, Master. And no. Takeru-san is not one as well. I know that you've been spying on us longer than that."
A whistle, "so you did noticed me, pyu~"
'How can I not, honestly' Tsuna retorted in his mind.
"Putting that aside, Tsuna" his mentor called out. "Did you feel less of Dame yet?"
The brunet blinked. Did his home tutor really just ask him that?
"I..."
"You've changed your friends' mind, taught them not to look down on the others, teach that man a lesson of his mistake, and actually stand up for your ground. Let me ask you one more time, do you finally find your peace?"
A genuine question.
Does he finally accept himself?
Turning to his best friends, his new friends, even the teachers... he saw acceptance in their eyes. He has moved them. And it has moved him.
So, with a blooming smile of his own, He nods.
"Hai, master. Thank you for your guidance!" He bowed in a perfect 90 degrees.
—just to be kicked to the ground.
"Good. That's only one step ahead. You still get bruised in the end. Fancy on collecting battle scars, hmm?"
"HIEEEE!!! No no no. I don't!" Upon the twinkle in those onyx orbs, that young don couldn't stop himself from shrieking and let his inner Dame-Tsuna to resurface. Reborn is still a sadist no matter his disguise, Damn it.
"So... umm... your scars." Okita actually speak up. "Those are not from abuse?"
Oh. So they thought it was?
"No, Okita-san. Well, it depends actually" he scratched his cheek sheepishly after Hayato and Ietsuna helped him back on his feet.
"Anyway, minna. Sorry for the late introduction, this is Master Pao Pao. He trained me and my friends to box and some other martial art" The hitman nod to them in acknowledgement.
And now the crowd assumed that this is the reason why Tsuna and co are physically strong and the reason behind their bond.
Well, it was not far fetched anyway.
"Did you train so you can pay back on Takeru and Mochida-senpai, Dame-Tsuna?" Hikaru teased. To which, the brunet himself shook his head before another chaos ensued.
"I never plan to do that. Actually, I'm not really content on using what I've learned for a mere self defense. But uh... when I saw my friends got hurt, I just felt like I gotta do something. I know that it was cheesy when I said 'I'm a protector of the weak'. It wasn't correct either. I'm trying to get stronger so I can protect my friends from getting harm. They're pretty reckless actually—"
"I don't want to hear that from you, Yoshi-kun" Ietsuna smacked his back.
"Oi, teme!"
But Takeshi has cuts in "Your scars, Tsuna. I'm pretty sure it's crystal clear who's the reckless one amongst us"
"Extreme martyr!" Ryohei pinched his cheek.
"Am not!" Tsuna flushed.
"You do" Hayato actually agreed.
"No, I don't"
"Actually, bossu..."
"No, I'm not"
"Kufufufu, in denial aren't we?"
"I told you I'm n—"
"Omnivore"
Scoffing to the side, he pouts. "Okay. Maybe I am. Just a bit?"
The guardians rolled their eyes. Well, at least Ryohei finally let go of his cheek.
"More than a bit, Tsuna-kun" Kyoko sighed.
"In most cases as well" Hana added, already witnessing the sky in action before this.
"Hahi! We should treat that bruise, Tsuna-san!" Haru said, frantically take out a healing-cream from her pocket. She always keep one near her knowing her friend's selfless nature.
In any case, everything ends up quite well. The class aren't exposed to the fact of what the group is actually involved in. Reborn seemed to be content with his student's character development. And the Don in training himself slowly letting go of his Dame persona...
Tsuna find himself smiling brightly despite all the ruckus he just caused.
