Tsuna ends up not sleeping that night. Never returned to his tent and it kind of making his teammate worry. After the confession last night, it stir something to those who has heart. Surprisingly, that included Takeru and his friends, since they couldn't exactly get angry at him after such emotions that the brunet displayed.
Raw. They could feel it. Even Reborn who hid somewhere within shadow grit his teeth for letting his student drift that far. Alas. When morning hits, they were greeted with heavenly smell though questionable plating breakfast.
"Uhmm... morning!" Tsuna tried to greet the ones who woke up early. "Sweet tea and fried rice... I hope you guys like It?" He said rather sheepishly. afraid of rejection but he smiled still nevertheless.
"Tsuuuunaaayoshiiiii" Yoshida tackled the flailing brunet.
"H-Hai??"
He's in a trouble isn't He?
"S-sorry the food doesn't look good! It's edible I swear!" He shrieked.
"No. Idiot" Touza gave him a noogie. "We are not punished to cook breakfast, and besides even if it was our schedule to, the duty's supposedly done by the team. The whole team. Not just yourself, dumbass~"
Tsuna blinked, "but I—"
"No buts. You never returned to the tent as well last night. Where were you?" The class prep narrows his eyes this time.
Gulping, that brunet nervously pointed at a huge stack of firewood. "I couldn't sleep. So I figured to at least do something decent?"
The students were baffled. "All of that? On your own?"
"Err... Sorry?"
"Sawada-kun" it was the homeroom teacher of Class B this time. The young sky straighten up his back, expecting some yelling like what he usually received on daily.
The man walked closer. He's raising his hand.
'Wait. Is he really going to hit me in front of everyone???' Eyes closed shut in anticipation, he was getting ready for the pain. At least it shouldn't be as painful as when Reborn did it.
He never expected the rough palm to brush over his cheeks, yet it did.
'Huh?' He slowly opens his eyes.
"We never settled on night hour but going out to the forest on your own is dangerous." The glare wasn't one that Tsuna's familiar with when it comes to the man.
No. If anything It resembles one of his guardians' when they scold him over his health.
Concern.
He has the strong urge to apologize again when the sensei continued, "there's dark circle under your eyes. I take that it's not the first time you've been neglecting sleep."
Indeed it wasn't. Reborn was on his way to fix that actually. Tsuna himself remained silent.
Sighing, Nezu actually stepped in.
"Sawada Tsunayoshi. For going on a night stroll unsupervised, you are prohibited to join the next activity. Err... whatever activity it would be"
Eyes widen, Tsuna tried to speak up, "B-But sensei!"
"No buts" the glasses man said sternly. "Have your breakfast then go back to your tent. Supposedly some hours of nap is enough to get you less sleepy"
Tsuna stared.
Everyone did.
Did he just hear that right?
"Nezu-Sensei, You... care?"
The old man would have started on reverting to his old self, yelling on how rude Dame-Tsuna is— had it not from the sight of the brimming tears those pair of wide eyes have, that is.
He clicked his tongue, turning his back, not wanting to deal with it further. "Don't cry, Dame-Tsuna. You are still my student afterall. So just do as I told" his words lack of that annoying authoritative tone.
And after the long silence, Tsuna ends up slapping himself.
"Holy guacamole, w-what just happened???" He sputtered as His homeroom teacher finally out of hearing range.
'Did that really just happen? Is he dreaming?'
"What the Fuck???"
"Geez. Stop freaking out, Dame-Tsuna" Okita rolled her eyes in bemusement.
"But Okita-san! You don't understand! Nezu-sensei— Is that even Nezu-sensei??? Has he been kidnapped??? HAYATO! IS UMA REAL???"
"Don't be disrespectful, Sawada-kun. Despite his attitude, he's not that heartless. There's a reason why he's a teacher" Class C's homeroom teacher chuckled.
Oh.
So apparently everyone was notified of last night event?
He exploded in different shades of red.
"Also. About your punishment. Someone will skip the next activity as well" the man said more as another voice then chimes in.
"You better not toss around too much in your sleep, Dame-Tsuna. Snoring also unacceptable" crossing his arms, Takeru said with a scowl that lack of heat. And apparently that was the last straw.
"Juudaime???"
In the meanwhile still sitting in his hideout, that hitman tugged his fedora down, a knowing smirk plastering his face.
The charm of a broken sky is not one to be underestimated with. If the future arc manage to move a mass killer like himself, Clearly civilians stand no chance.
"Great job, Dame-Tsuna. You've played your cards right~"
