The Final Fantasy VII- X

Part One

Tidus rested on top of the water as he watched the sunset go down. It was a beautiful day in Spira, he was glad to be back, but what if this too was a dream? Would he have to disappear again ? Just as things were finally looking up for him again . He shook the thought away and sighed in dibelief as he continued to stare up in to the heavens. He didn't want to think about it anymore, but the more he thought about it the more uncomfortable he got.

Spira was finally able to sleep in peace knowing that The Calm finally came back. But how long would this feeling of relief last? How long would this happiness last ? Tidus didn't want to think about this, it was only upsetting him more. He straightened up again and swam back to shore when he heard Wakka calling after him .

"Didn't you hear me calling your name ya?" Wakka chuckled as he grabbed Tidus in a headlock. He kind of missed Wakka's bullying towards him, it reminded him of the old days when Yuna and the rest of the gang were on a mission , a mission to stop Sin.

"Sorry Wakka, I guess I'm a little distracted." He rubbed the back of his neck as he looked down at his feet. He really was distracted. Wakka let him go and only stared a him concerned.

"What's got you all worked up?" Wakka asked as he folded his big arms across his chest. Tidus only sighed and looked up as he spoke ," what if ... What if this is all a dream? One that I will eventually wake up from .. What if I disappear again like I did before ?... What if ..." He stopped when Wakka put his hands on his shoulders.

"You are still here aren't ya ?"

Tidus only nodded and looked down to meet Wakka's eyes again. "yes." Wakka let out a small chuckle before shaking him a little . " Then there's nothing to worry about Kid." Tidus smiled and nodded .

"Yea you're right Wakka." But he did worry, and it wasn't because he wasn't happy to be back here with them ....with Yuna , but because he was afraid to be alone again, alone in a dream where he knew that it was the only place he could ever exist .

~~~~YUNA~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Yuna, Rikku and Paine were gathering more spheres all around Spira with brother, their one and only helper. Tidus's return wouldn't change who Yuna had become, knowing he was back with her made Yuna happy again, happy enough to do what she loved most, going on adventures and searching for the unknown. Yes she had grown up so much and yes she had changed a lot from the first day when she met a young man who's life touched hers forever . She loved him that she did, and he loved her back, and even though he promised to always be with her no matter what, deep inside , she knew he was nothing but a dream created by the Fayth.

Rikku looked at her cousin with a confused look and a small grin forming on the side of her lips . " You're thinking about him again , aren't you?" She gently tapped Yuna's shoulder .

Yuna looked at Rikku with a warm smile and nodded, "yes , but I know he's here with me, so I'm not worried one bit." Yet somewhere deep inside , she was scared to lose him again.

Paine only looked at them both with a serious expression, "Yuna is okay if you're scared , I haven't known him that long , but it seems to me like you two had a somewhat rough past."

Yuna didn't say anything , instead she looked down and over the bridge, "what you say is most certainly true , Paine. He...he disappeared , which broke me apart , but he's here again and as long as he's here, I'll make every moment count." She turned to them and smiled.

Both Rikku and Paine nodded in unison before each grabbing one of Yuna's hands and dragging her across the bridge of Besaid Island laughing.

Wakka and Lulu were both taking care of their new born baby inside their hut when Yuna and the girls finally came back from one of their adventures, Tidus who hadn't spoken a word since earlier that evening was now siting next to Wakka, his eyes gazing in to nothingness.

As soon as Yuna saw him , she ran in to
Tidus's arms and embraced him warmly. She smiled as she landed a kiss on his lips , "you're still here ."

This made Tidus laugh a little and only held her close to him , "I'm still here, " he hesitated for a few seconds before finishing,".....and I'm not going anywhere ....Yuna , not as long as you want me here ." Yuna's smile faded a little as a hint of sadness came in to her face.

"So that means if something were to happen between us .. You would go away again ? ....forever?" Tidus shook his head violently as he rested his hands on her shoulders and squeezed them softly;

"No Yuna , I'm not ever going to go anywhere , this is where I belong, and this is where I will stay. No matter what happens, I will always be here for you."

Yuna's smile returned again as she hugged him tightly again, "don't ever let go." she said as she buried her face in his chest. Tidus only held her closer and rested his head on hers and whispered in her hair , " I'll never let go ." He meant what he said, he didn't want to let her go, not again.
