Frankie's POV:
As a busy night in the casino came to a close, i began to collect the used glasses from the vacant tables.
Edele, one my closest friends, also who works here with me was Constantly exchanging eye contact and giggling to one another from across the room at all the hot men who entered, not to mention the trashed ones but we can put them aside for now.
Just as i was gathering the last few glasses, four young men entered in a ruffled fashion.
Two of them split and made their way to the gambling section whilst the other two headed for the bar.Once they made there way through they began to sniff around and finally approached a lone man in the corner. From experience i believe his name is dylan, a good customer to the business.
I had never seen these people before. I began to examine each one individually being wary of them noticing.
Edele was occupied serving another customer. So i took the responsibility of asking the single man what drink he desired. With his hands rested apon the counter and back arched i took noticed in his long brown hair and paper white skin complexion.
"Seen a ghost" i playfully asked
"No. It's just. Don't worry. Ill have a pint please sweet" he quickly replied glaring over at the two men making there way over to I assume Dylan.
I suspected otherwise but carried on pouring his beer
"That will be $6.00 sir"
He threw down the cash and gingerly sipped his beer. He chugged down the rest, giving a small smile whilst heading off and out the door.
I checked the time, only to notice that my shift was almost over. I looked over at Edele who seemed to be occupied flirting with one of the guys sitting at the bar. Typical. I stalked over grabbing her arm and pulling her away
"Cmonn." I began tugging her behind me
"Every time Frankie. I was only offering him advice." I looked behind me to the blonde headed girl as she gave me a wink.
"How much advice do you have to give to that guy. Oh cmon edele don't you think I haven't realised that you've been talking to that guy for the past week?" I laughed giving her a little nudge, wriggling my eyebrows as she rolled her eyes. I let go of her arm as she followed me. We made our way towards the back room, I was cautious as the bar was now left unattended as the other staff almost always run late, or better yet they just don't turn up.
Egaged in conversation, my mind wondered off to the clattering chairs and mild disruption that could be heard from the other side of the door.
Glancing at my wrist watch i gratefully accept that mine and edeles time had come and we could finally verture off home. Since im on the late shift i have to make sure almost everything is locked up.
Once that was done, we took our coats and headed through the back door.
"Shit, it's cold" Edele shivered
"Language" I tsked at her. Once again I was looking at the blonde rolling her eyes.
"You keep rolling your eyes they'll fall out" I laughed
"Oh shut up asswipe" she mumbled, smiling. Her nose started running due to the cold weather.
"Nice" I chuckled, she laughed also diverting her attention to her nose, pulling out tissue from her coat pocket.
"Oh Shit!" I shouted stopping
"Look who's using bad choice of words now" Edele mocked, I pushed her
"I think I forgot to lock the basement"
"Why would you need to go down there anyway?"
"Because the women's bathroom upstairs is out of order so I had to go to the one in the basement"
"Ew" Edele's nose creased up knowing they weren't the best of toilets. "Urgh, but do we have to go back"
"You keep walking I'll quickly go lock it then catch up" I turned back to the casino
"Okay"
We parted ways, I jogged back to the door, going into my locker and getting the keys for the basement. Slowly descending the stairs trying to find the right key, I heard muffled shouts from behind the door leading to the basement. Furrowing my eyebrows I walked down towards the door, pressing my ear against it. It was muffled but I could sorta make out what they was saying.
"Thanks. Dylan." "Now I can sleep. And so can you."
My confusion and curiosity got the best of me, I opened the door only I wished I hadn't.
My hand slapped to my mouth as I let out a shrill scream. Blood surrounded the room, the guy in the chair drops to the floor, both the killer and his friend turns sudden shock and anger both visible in there eyes. I notice it's the two guys that I saw earlier in the casino. Not wanting to be in the same room, I sprinted up the stairs my breathing all over the place and tears fell freely from my eyes.
I hear from the basement.
"Luke! Go get her!"
From this point on, I knew I was now going to be on the run.
