One Saturday
On a quiet Saturday's embrace, our destinies intertwined,
Her presence calling from the haven of our backyard.
By the window's ledge, she lingered,
Gazing through the weathered pane at the world beyond.
A shroud of solemnity enveloped her,
Until moonlight's gentle touch graced her cheeks.
Her eyes, pools of warmth and joy,
A faint smile playing on her lips,
Leaving me spellbound in her glow.
Today, our paths crossed once more,
Longing to muster the courage for a simple "Hi,"
Yet only managing a hesitant "Goodbye."
I awoke with that memory etched in my thoughts,
As a new day unfolds,
My mind still lingering in the night,
Lost in the enchantment of that unforgettable Saturday.
