When the train finally arrived at Hogwarts every one except the first years - they took boats and got got ready for House Sorting - went to the Great Hall for the feast.

Alora remembered her first year at Hogwarts, she was terrified.

Professor McGonagall called her name "Alora Snape." and the room went silent.

"Snape?" Gryffindors whispered.

"She'll probably be a Slytherin." another first year said.

Alora put her head down as she walked up the steps and sat on the stool.

Professor McGonagall put the Sorting Hat on her head, it was silent for a few seconds then began,

"Hmmm, who do we have here?" The old hat said.

"AH HA!" It yelled, Alora jumped and let out a little yelp.

"Snape! Hmm very interesting."

Everyone was looking at Alora, she closed her eyes tightly.

"I see determination, loyalty, bravery....hm, you are nothing like your..father." said the hat as it jerked Alora's head toward her father. Alora looked at him and went red.

The raggedy hat jerked Alora's head back to all of the students.

"More like your mother...." The hat finished with a long anticipating pause.

"better be....GRYFFINDOR!!" it yelled.

The Gryffindor table stood up and cheered loudly, it was both awkward and excited cheers.

Alora ran over at sat next to Oliver who was the only one who shook her hand and welcomed her.

She looked at her father who faked a smile and clapped.

At the end of the day Snape said he was proud of her, Alora always knew that.

"Earth to Alora hello?"

Alora drew out of her daze to Hermione waving her hand in her face.

"Sorry.....I was just thinking." Alora said

"Well I was just saying that everyone should focus on classes rather than Victor Krum, what's your opinion?" Hermione said in a know-it-all tone.

Alora's mind wasn't on track with the conversation. She was looking around the Great Hall.

"Uhhh yeah Victor Krum....he's coming to Hogwarts....maybe he'll sign my Quidditch jersey."

Everyone laughed besides Hermione she rolled her eyes and put her nose in one of her books.

After the feast all the students went to their corridors.

Alora was sure that the Gryffindor house was the house that stood up the latest at night, every Gryffindor was always tired in the mornings.

Before Alora stepped through the portrait-hole someone grabbed Alora's hand.

It was Fred.

"You ok love?" He asked pulled her towards him.

"Yeah why?" Alora asked looking around making sure no one would see them.

"You didn't eat a lot and you looked distracted, what's wrong?" Fred grabbed her face and looked at her deeply.

Alora hesitated for a second, and let Fred's hand rest on her cheek.

"It's just...."

She looked at Fred and noticed his tie was crooked - as it always was - she reached up and fixed it.
