That early November morning was colder than usual, the sun barely shining, unable to give off heat. But the buzzing warmth in the Great Hall made the frigid outside fade away.
Azure shuffled her way to the outstretched Gryffindor table, a dull look spread across her face. She took a seat opposite of Lee Jordan, one of her friends at Hogwarts, letting her lips rip out an extensive sigh. Lee heard her heavy exhale and swiftly his eyes rose to hers, she scooped her meal onto the plate in front of her. From her droopy eyes and slow motions, Lee thought that she looked absolutely fatigued. Looking almost as ghastly as Professor Snape.
"Merlin! Azure, what happened to you?" Lee's orotund voice finally breaking the silence between the two.
His shrill, now filling up her ears. She looked up at him, giving him a quick glare before finally speaking. "Nothing really, just studied all night for Snape's stupid potions test he's having us take this morning." Her silvery tone flowing with the statement.
"You look terrible!" Lee stated with his thundering voice.
Azure rolled her tired eyes, "Gee, thanks a lot Lee." Sarcasm rolling off her tongue.
Lee pulled a tight smirk and responded, "No problem Az! Anyway, good luck in Potions, you're gonna need it." Lee was right, having Snape as a professor meant you'd always have to have luck with you, at all times. He then spoke up again, curiosity filling up his voice. "Why aren't you sitting with Wood? I mean, isn't he your boyfriend?" Again Lee was right, Azure was dating 'Quidditch Crazy' Oliver Wood, at least that's what she would sometimes call him in order to tease him. She had been dating him ever since last year and they were happy. The relationship was amazing, and she felt that she was even in love with him. This was their last year together before he would leave Hogwarts. But she didn't ever like thinking about that.
Oliver and her had a shared interest in Quidditch, they both thoroughly enjoyed it. Azure took her eyes off of her pumpkin juice, staring back at Lee. "Yes Ollie is my boyfriend, but that doesn't mean I have to be around him all the time. I just thought I would sit with my friends this morning instead," Azure said taking a deep breath before continuing. "Why? Do you want me gone that badly Lee?" She exclaimed, dramatically placing her hand over her chest.
His eyes began with shock as he quickly said, "Oh Godric no! Azure I don't ever want to see you gone, I always enjoy your company!" She smiled at Lee, quietly chuckling a little at his worried remark.
"We agree!" A fruity voice shouted from beside her, almost making her jump.
Startled, she turned up her head to where she heard the voice. Her eyes slowly met up at his, as a big grin popped up on his face. His ginger head of hair shone brightly in the light. Taking in all of his features, she could tell that this was in fact, Fred Weasley.
She beamed at the sight of him, smiling almost immediately at his charming appearance. Then it hit her. This was one twin, but where was the other?
Suddenly as if her mind had been read, an alluring voice sounded out from the other side of her. "We also enjoy Azure's company!" She looked over to the other voice, him already sitting down next to her. There he was, the other twin, George Weasley.
A smirk played on his lips, red hair flowing messily. He was looking deep into her eyes with mischief, a gorgeous brown threading around his pupils. Glints of gold appearing far in the chocolate mess of his eyes. It was a sight you could fall into, that is if you weren't too careful.
The attention was brought back when George spoke freshly, "Me and Freddie probably enjoy her company more than you do Lee." He stated almost as if it were a challenge to Lee. Fred took the other seat next to her, making Azure fall in between the two tricksters.
"Yeah, if Az had to pick either me and Georgie or you Lee, she'd for sure pick me and George. No question about it." Fred proudly stated as he poured pumpkin juice into his cup. Lee pouted and almost looked generally worried that the statement Fred had made was true.
"Az that's not true, right? You love me just as much if not more, you'd easily pick me over them right?" Lee cried out, giving each of the twins an offended look.
She tried to hold it in, but she just couldn't. Azure giggled loudly, not caring if the people around her were looking in her direction. She just couldn't help herself no matter how hard she tried. Lee looked at her laughing and he slowly grew a grin on his face, he then laughed with her. Realizing how silly he was being about the whole situation.
