Mori looked at the girl in front of him. He scanned her carefully with his eyes. She had very long, curly brown hair. A very pale face with beautiful, large, honey-colored eyes. She was wearing only a white hospital gown and a teddy bear-shaped stuffed animal dangled in her hand. She had a flat expression on her face. And what was most frightening about her was that empty whole that was manifested throughout her entire posture.

Ougai smiled at the teen in front of him and looked her deeply into her eyes.

"I am Ougai Mori, I was a friend of your mom. I wanted to express my sincerest condolences to you for her loss", he said without losing his smile.

Dazai just stood and looked at him. She blinked a couple of times, tilted her head to the right. The doctor recognized her cute actions, which made him unable to resist a squeal of happiness. He smiled even more closely and looked at her closely. He considered every possible option in his mind by which he could use it. From what he had heard, Dazai had very useful skills and was extremely intelligent. Adding to all of this her stunning beauty comes out a very powerful weapon.

"I'd like to offer you a deal," he said calmly.

Osamu was just staring at him the whole time.

"I would like to adopt you," he began. "You would join the mafia and be under my protection. You would carry out various jobs and take over the mafia after I die."

Now the girl seemed to shake off her trance and asked in a soft voice:

"I'm supposed to kill on errands?"

"Relax, my dear," replied Mori. "You won't have to do that for now. You can do other... things." He smiled in a disgusting way.

The brown-haired girl knew her situation very well. She knew she had to agree and stay in this man's care, otherwise she wouldn't be very fun. 

She tried quickly to analyze all the options she could agree to. She wasn't stupid and she knew it would be smartest to play as they played her. It may creep into the favors of the future boss of the Port Mafia. She didn't want to think about all the dirty work she was going to have to do, though a part of her was glad to be able to kill someone.

Strange because she felt a hidden excitement deep within her. She has just completed a certain stage in her life, her mother has died and she is moving to another place. She hoped to feel sad or regret, but all she felt was a little twinge in her heart. The end. So much for the bad things that had happened to her, she was sure she would at least cry. And now she felt excited about joining the mafia. A smirk crept on her lips. Mori won't even notice when he gets wrapped around her finger.

"Deal."

"Where are we going?" She asked with a hint of curiosity in her voice.

"Since you are my daughter from today, I would like you to be with me when the old boss dies," he said, and clapped his hands childishly.

The girl nodded and followed Mori to the boss's room.

When Mori entered the office, Dazai immediately hid behind him. Not out of fear, she just honestly didn't feel like talking right now. "Boss, it's me, Mori Ougai," he said and knelt by his bed.

„Kill them," whispered the Boss, and Mori already knew what he meant. The old man had been mumbling for several days about killing all the enemies of the mafia, which the doctor thought was a terrible mistake. It was very irrational and could slowly bring them down.

"Yes, yes. Relax. I'll take care of it," he replied calmly and his smile widened. He took his scalpel out of his pocket and put it to the old man's neck.

"I will take care of them", he whispered for the last time and killed the Boss. His eyes widened widely as he saw the blood on the wall and he turned towards Dazai.

"You are my witness, understand?"

The girl just looked at him with a melancholy look and a small smile. Her brown eyes seemed to glow red in this light.

"Of course, father"
