January 1600, Italy

She knew. The second she saw him, she knew. The lingering assumption that the man standing right before her eyes, would change her life. Not just because he was her suitor. Her instinct was telling her that he would be a big part of a further change in her life. She could not explain it. She could not find the words to express that feeling.
Mr. Amalfitano was a charming man. His smirk. His deep blue eyes. His dark brown hair. Each and every one of his words kept the audience hanging. His knowledge, his wisdom was evident.
Luciana, studied him carefully, as discreetly as possible. Enchanted. That is how she felt. Wonderstruck, as well. That first meeting was enough for her to realise he was the person who would give her a meaningful life. She could picture the two of them together with a family of their own.

A month later

The wedding was charming. Even though, they didn't know much of each other, she could learn. The reception was extraordinary. It was a good day, the best of her life the newly wed Luciana.
As her family and her husband were seated in the long table, celebrating, it all suddenly went dark. The candles burnt out. Screaming full of sorrow, filled the room- her family's-,echoed in Luciana's ears. As she turned to blindly look for her husband's touch, she did not find him next to her. She did see him however. His eyes turning icy. The candles lit again. Everyone was dead. Everyone except her husband. Covered in blood, with fangs showing out of his crimson red lips. His eyes dead. No emotion.  His expression, however, was the thing that terrified her most. He looked so far gone. So psychotic.  So intriguing. She pushed that last thought of her mind, as tears were falling down her eyes.
Everything she knew was gone. And with that, she felt as if she died inside. And then, it all went black.

A few days later

She woke up with an ache on the back of her head. She fluttered her eyes a couple times, to adjust to the light of the room. She looked closely. The room she was in was majestic. One of the fairytales. Flashbacks of her wedding night came rushing through her mind.
Terrified she jumped out of the bed and tried to open the door. It was locked. She then started hitting it and then yelled. Her husband came in.
" Easy there, love. You will hurt yourself".
"Who- What are you? What did you do to my family? Where am I?" She asked furiously petrified.
" Too many questions. But I will answer them. Be patient, love."
"Mr. Almafitano I demand anwers and I want them now"
" You are in no position to make demands, darling." the man said as he walked away from her. "And no need for Mr. Amalfitano, love. We are married now. You shall call me Jackson’’. And with that he disappeared.
