Maria's POV:
My eyes widen a little then i give her hand a good comforting squeeze. "Well, why can't I help you?"
She looks at me confused. "Huh?"
"I can help you." I repeat.
"But, i dont want you to--"
"Shhhh" i say, holding her hand tighter. "It's okay, i work at a business and could somehow get you a job or somehow help you in a way."
She looks at me and shakes head. "No, I---i couldn't ask you to do that."
"But i insist." I press.
She sighs slightly. "Okay"
I smile weakly then help her stand up. "Now, what do you want to do?"
She looks over at me then i look at her then i gaze into her eyes as she gazes into mine.
She shrugs as i whisper. "Wanna go try to learn a little bit about each other?" I wonder outloud. She nods slightly looking at me.
I quickly help Amelia grab her tools and such and walk into my car, me helping her get in then getting in the driver's seat then starting the car and driving out of the driveway.
I'm glad I found her. I was actually starting to get a little worried about her. I really hope she's okay and hopefully we can keep in touch.
I drive us to a Cafe where there's a couple things to do near the Cafe, so we were able to just do whatever we want for awhile.
I help her get out as we go into the Cafe then get some food. She gets a small ham and cheese sandwich with hot chocolate while i get the same.
We sit down across from each other, right besides a window.
She looks at me, uncapping her hot chocolate. "What's your favorite season?" She asks after taking a sip of her hot chocolate.
I look outside at the snow falling and the people walking by, waving to people and yelling"happy holidays" and "Merry Christmas" while smiling big, then i remember that time...
I close my eyes then shake my head slightly. Clearly she saw me shake my head, and put her hot chocolate down. "Hey what's wrong? Did i get to a touchy subject? I'm sorry, I'll leave it be."
I open my eyes and look at her then shake my head. "No no, it's okay, I just, thought of something. That's all. "
She nods slightly.
"But anyway." I say hastily. "My favorite season is probably the fall. I love when I'm able to watch the leaves fall and it's perfect weather to where its not too hot to where you have to be in a bathing suit non-stop, or in the winter it's too cold to where you just wanna curl up in front of a heater then stay there for the whole winter."
She nods.
"What's your favorite season?" I ask.
"All" she replies.
I look at her. "Now why's that?"
She takes another sip before awnsering. " It's like siblings. If you have a favorite, then all the others get left out. It's okay to have opinions, but at the same time it's like choosing sides on which person dies and which person lives as a sacrifice for food or something when people are stranded on an island. That one person that got left out and died is the one that will live forever in sorrow, and hate, i don't like doing that."
I look at her a little confused on why she said that but she stays silent sipping her hit chocolate again.
I nod after awhile. "That's a good point. You can't pick just one, or another will get hurt. Okay"
She looks at me and i look back at her. Her eyes are this beautiful green, they're amazing.
She looks at the window at the snow and after awhile I gently grab her face with one hand.
She flinches the smallest bit but looks at me.
I don't know what came over me, i don't know what I like about this girl, but all i know is that I love her, and i want to show her how I feel, now.
So i lean over the table, tilt my head, close my eyes, and kiss her softly on the lips.
