"keep up losers." bailey laughed as her, caitlyn and grace skateboarded down the street while eben, daniel and zach followed behind them. "not our fault you're literally flying." zach laughed. the girls came to a stop so the guys could catch up.
"you guys wanna race to venice beach?" caitlyn asked as the guys tried to catch their breath. "venice is like 4 miles away!" daniel said "your just scared you'll loose." caitlyn rolled her eyes and laughed. "you know what, fine let's race." daniel said as zach and eben glared at him. "girls verse boys?" grace asked as they boys nodded. "but all three members of your team have to be on the beach under the pier for your whole team to win." bailey said laughing "ok bet." zach said as they got on their skateboards. "ok ready.. set.. GO!" caitlyn yelled as they all started racing in the same direction. they got to an intersection and the group split up. "there such idiots, all the tourist are down that way." grace laughed as they cruised down the street. "their so screwed." caitlyn laughed as the girls took a corner getting closer to the pier. "shit were so screwed." zach said as they hoped off their boards and began quickly walking through the large crowd of tourists. "you know, you would think living in LA for a long period of time would teach you where all the tourist go but no." daniel said as they ran down the road.
the girls were getting closer and closer to the beach when they heard the boys laughing a short distance behind them.
"we need to hurry or we'll loose." grace said as her and caitlyn sped up. "bailey hurry." caitlyn laughed. they were cruising down the road, the beach next to them. the pier was all the way at the end. zach sped up next to bailey.
"tired babe?" zach asked laughing. "no and we're gonna beat you." bailey said determined. "we'll see about that." he laughed and passed her leaving the entire group ahead of her
bailey wondered what she would do. she quickly thought of a plan she didn't think would work but decided to go for it. "fuck it." bailey said hopping off her board and running onto the beach towards the pier.
"where the hell did she go?!" caitlyn asked looking behind her. "she's not back there?" grace asked as she looked to only see the guys trailing behind them. "oh shit." caitlyn pointed onto the beach where they saw bailey running towards the pier holding her skateboard. "how is she even doing that." grace asked. "don't you remember she did track in middle and highschool?" caitlyn laughed. "oh yea!" grace laughed
"damn she must be way back there. maybe i should go see if she fell or something." zach said looking behind him not seeing bailey. "i hate to break it to you zach but i don't think your girlfriend is hurt." eben said gesturing over to the beach. "damn track star girlfriend." zach laughed and quickly sped up on his board.
grace and caitlyn reached the pier first and quickly ran under. all they needed was for bailey to get to under the pier before the guys. daniel and eben showed up under the bridge. "she's not gonna make it oh my gosh." caitlyn said as bailey got closer running towards the pier. bailey could see zach basically the same length away.
"come on bailey!!" the girls cheered as the two were neck and neck. zach ran onto the beach and bailey basically dove under to where everyone else was standing.
"that was so bailey!" caitlyn said. "no it was zach!" the two guys argued. "tie?" zach said putting his hand out for her to grab. "tie." bailey said standing up "how did you even run that far?" eben asked. "well i guess being a cheerleader and a track star in highschool has its perks." bailey laughed. "damn." daniel said.
"well we should head home. we have to pick up livi from my parents house." zach said "how are you gonna take her home? don't tell me livi already knows how to board.." daniel laughed. "no no she doesn't. my cars at my parents house." zach laughed. "well we'll see you guys later." they said as they skateboarded to zachs parents house to pick up bailey.
"mommy look!"olivia said running up to her and zach showing them her drawing. "aww it's beautiful livi" zach said picking her up. "we can hang it on our fridge when we get home ok?" bailey said. "ok" olivia smiled.
the three said goodbye to zachs family and drove home.
