I picked around at the disgusting rice on my plate. Krystal had made a deal with my mother 0tha0t if she watches Mark and Blade {Krystal's kids}, then she would make dinner for my Mom for a week. So far, rice Everyday. I hate rice.
I heard a strange sound coming from outside the window I sat next to, which sounded as if it were some kind of cat or small kitten. I reached for a hair tie and pulled up my white hair into a pony tail. I had bleached it... yes with actual bleach. After the day I killed a person without hesitation, I just...mentally lost it, I guess you could say. I jumped up from the table and looked down at my frail mother. "I'm going out mum. I'll be back later." I walked away from her, aiming for the closet for my raincoat. It was pouring and even thoughI was in a rush, I wasn't risking getting sick.
I ran out of the house after I slipped into my rainboots and splashed in puddles as I ran. I kept hearing the noise. It got more and more desperate with everytime I heard it. The creature making the sound seemed hurt or in pain in a way. I felt like this was very important for some reason. I ran faster and faster, following the noise until I rounded a corner and so a little girl that looked about four or five, being held by her throat up against the side of a building by a very skinny boy. She wimpered, and it sounded somehow like a meow. That's what I was hearing.
The boy had his hood up, stopping me from seeing who he was. I felt my fists clench and I plunged foward and kicked the boy's hand away from the girls throat. The girls skirt was down, and I immediatly realised what was going on here. I glared sat the boy in disgust. "Who would do this to such an innocent little girl?!" I yelled. The boy clutched his hand and looked up at me with tears in his eyes. "She.. she..." The boy's voice was shaking. The girl stepped towards me and pointed at the missing flesh from her thigh. "He was eating. This is my brother." I raised an eyebrow. "WHAT KIND OF SICK TWISTED-" I was cut off by the boy "I am a ghoul miss. My human sister offers her flesh to help me survive." The little girl nodded. "I don't beleive this for one second. What the hell is a ghoul? And why the hell would you EAT your little sisters legs?!"
The boy looked around. "How old are you miss?" I glared at him with a frown. "I'm thirteen." He nodded with a comfortable smile. "I'm fifteen." The girl stomped. "Oni-chan! Stop stalling and bite her already!" The boy nodded and grabbed me by my wrists. He shoved me up against the wall and smiled evily. "Pahjie-chan, get her coat off." The boy instructed the girl. She nodded and ripped off my raincoat to reveal only my tank top left. "Wait! What the hell are you doing?!" He jerked his head down to my shoulder and bit his teeth into me, ripping off a peice of my flesh. I screamed, hoping somebody would help me. But nobody came.
He held back my bangs and wiped the tears from my eyes. The little girl poured a purple liquid into the deep hole the boy bit into my shoulder.
From there on, my life would change. I would no longer be the lost, poor human I was before that night. I would be a stronger, faster creature. A ghoul. At that point, I was still not sure what a ghoul was, but I guess I'd find out.
