Knives p.o.v

After a few weeks I was getting used to normal living again being on the road for a few months can make you forget that. I just got off work and it was still early it was lightly raining outside and the sun was nowhere to be found being locked away by clouds. I signed turning on my laptop after endless channel surfacing. Checking a few email the doorbell rang and soon after I heard loud bangs on my door I opened it to find Ronnie drunk with tears staining his face. “Ronnie are you ok?” I asked leading him in my apartment he started wobbling and losing his balance “willow” he weeped dropping his bottle of vodka that was mixed with cranberry juice it stained my white carpet. I signed oh great another thing I have to worry about. Ronnie fell on to the couch sobbing and asking for drinks “ just take a nap, your drunk” I pulled the couch blanket over him. He was too intoxicated to argue with me his forehead was covered in sweat and his face glow red. Eww the side effects of a actually disguising to bear but his was my friend as long as he’s in need of getting sober I help him. I poured room temperate water in a bowl along with a cloth to soak. Kneeing at Ronnie’s side I lightly dabbing the cloth than folding it after soaking it again placing it on his forehead.

I hate to admit it but Ronnie needs to grow up. I wasn’t surprise that he was drunk over willow; she’s his girlfriend but their always fighting and well willow has cheated on him before. I signed making tea it wasn’t before Ronnie woke up so he was able to have a cup. Even tho he hates tea. He explained that willow kicked him out to be with someone else.

He was homeless, his mother died in a car accident. She was the only he had…..

“Ronnie you can stay here until you get on your feet” I took his hand and smiled giving him hope. “Thank you, knives you have always been like a sister to me” the doorbell rang interrupting our brother sister moment. “You should answer that” he mumbled taking a sip of the green tea. My bare feet became soaked in my friend’s choice of alcohol. I ignored it and opened the door. Jack was standing there with a smile on his face. “Oh…hey now’s not a good tim-“

I was cut off by Ronnie shouting. “WHO’S AT THE DOOR”?!. The only thing worse than seeing Ronnie drunk is when he’s sober. Jack’s smile faded into a slight frown and concerned crossed his face. He walked past me without a word. Then suddenly hear a slight crack under my feet “knives” jack turned to me and saw my bleeding foot “i’m fine” jack picked me up bridal style within a second I was sitting on my couch. Jack knew my apartment like the back of his hand returning with the aid kit. “Knives i’m sorry ill clean up the glass” Ronnie walked to the hallway to clean up.

“What’s he doing here” jack asked angry. “He’s my new roommate” I replied simply. He snapped his head up to look at me.
