-y/n pov- today i was going to zachs house again to tutor him. although after what he said to me in class yesterday, how he doesn't wanna be seen with me as a friend, i was just fed up with him. i didn't even want to help him but i told myself this would look good on a college application, and i know he truly needs the help and unlike him, i care for others and i don't mind helping him.
zach never gave me a time to meet him to study... so i messaged him and told him i'd be there at 12. he never responded but it was the only time i was available so he'd have to take it or leave it. i walked up and knocked on the door, this time corbyn opened the door with a big smile. he walked me into the living room where daniel sat again playing a different instrument, jonah was reading a book, and jack was in the kitchen on a phone call. nowhere to be seen was zach "where's zach?" i asked "i don't know, zach was supposed to be here 30 minutes ago but he must still be with kay" jonah said
"oh we were supposed to study, i'll just come back later when he's here" i say turning to leave "no, you can stay here with us and hangout... if you want?" daniel said "sure" i said and sat down on the couch next to daniel.
for about an hour and a half i just hung out with the boys. daniel tried to teach me to play the cello, but majorly failed. corbyn and i talked about a lot of things, i discovered he's really into science and math like me. jonah and i nerded out over harry potter, and jack kept showing me pictures and videos of his sweet baby lavender. all these guys were so fun to be around and such cool people. too bad zach can't be like that.
after almost 3 hours zach finally walked in the door "yo where have you been dude? y/n said you guys were supposed to study like 2 hours ago?" daniel asked him. "sorry i was with kay and i lost track of time, but i'm here now" he said.
"sorry zach, but i've got to be home for dinner. you should've been more responsible... i told you i'm not going to cater to your schedule when it comes to this. i have other things i could be doing but instead i decided to help you, text me when you're ACTUALLY ready to do some tutoring." i said getting up and heading to the door. "i'll walk you out" i heard daniel say catching up with me.
he walked with me out to my car "sorry about zach, he can be like that sometimes" he said "don't be sorry, it's zachs issue not yours... but thanks for letting me hang out with you guys today. it was really fun!" i replied. "i had fun too... and hey if you're ever not busy maybe you'd like to go get coffee with me or something?" he asked rubbing the back of his neck nervously... which i'm not gonna lie was pretty cute.
"yes, i'd like that!" i say with a smile, he then hugs me and shuts my door as i get in my car. i drive off and he waves before going back inside.
