Bloody hell.

"Hello deary. I'm so sorry for what happened. Are you alright?" The nosy neighbor duo was at my doorstep. I crossed my legs because I was still feeling some pulse on my genitals. I guess my mind wasn't the only part that was upset about the abrupt change.

"Yeah everything is fine. It's my fault. I didn't ask my mother-in-law what she is allergic to and served her poison basically." I brushed my hair with my fingers.

"Oh sweetie, it's alright. She'll be fine. It didn't seem that severe when they were getting her into the ambulance. With first aid procedures, it will calm down within minutes. It's going to be alright." Nosy neighbors number two reassured me as she stroked my arm.

"Thank you... As you guys have seen, you'll be updated with Ethan will come back. I have to go clean up the crime scene". I have a light laugh to avoid their pity.

"Oh yes! We will leave you to that. Hope we all receive some good news. See you!" Nosy neighbor number one noted as both of them began to walk away.

I closed the door. Why in the world do they want to know what exactly happened? Did they raid the bloody ambulance and interrogated the paramedic? What benefit would they get from knowing what happened? Blackmail or hold me hostage? Get real! I slid down the door in discontent. Not only did the most neighbors had to be so nosy, I couldn't enjoy some time to myself. I placed my hand over my lower abdomen. I can still feel myself quiver for more. My core tried very hard to cool down from the pain and heat due to the sudden disruption. Now, I doubt I will be able to get that painful pleasure back. I picked myself up and began to clean the whole house.

A couple of weeks passed after the whole allergy incident. Candice came back two days after the incident and pretended nothing ever happened. She walked into the house feeling like a whole, new person. Ethan was on edge around me, making sure I don't screw up again. I get that it's your only mother, but you are to blame for not telling me shit! I tried keeping my pent up anger away during these weeks as I tried to earn brownie points towards Candice. Whenever Candice is in the kitchen, she would cook an elaborate meal for her dear son Ethan. And even serve him. As for me, I serve myself and embrace the avoidance they give me because they only care about each other. I would have to clean the dishes afterwards, clean the house, and do everyone's laundry, along with noting what Candice wants whenever I go grocery shopping. Her requests are very specific, olive oil, Walker crisps, Crawford wafers, and Buxton water. Her specific demands were hard to find at times because we live in the suburban part of the country, where our varieties aren't as large.

Today, she finally got sick of staying at home, so we all went for a drive to the mall. The mall is an hour away from our house. So during that time, Candice decided to talk everyone's ear off about how much she loves and misses Ethan. Ethan was slightly embarrassed but didn't bother in stopping her. The amount of times I wanted to roll my eyes but held back, my eyes would've popped. Once we've reached the mall, Candice went berserk. I couldn't keep track of all the stores we went to because I had to be the one carrying everything. Candice shopped mostly for herself and partially for Ethan. She wouldn't stop nagging on how his fashion taste is horrible and he should get mew clothes. Little does she know that her taste in fashion are just as bad. I mean who would go into the show store and buy a glittery 7 inch platform heels? For her age? For what reason? If she travels a lot, why not get the best shoes in Italy. What are you doing here?

After going through half of the mall, we decided to rest at the food court.

"Well that was delightful. Honey, what do you want to eat?" Candice asked.

I looked up to make sure who that question was directed towards. I know it wasn't for me but I wanted to make sure.

"I'll just go grab a slice of pizza." Ethan sighed. I bet he was tired from shopping.
