chapter 0: explaining stuff

hi! the story is sorta confusing, so i wanted to make this so if you ever have questions, they might be resolved here! 

FIRST OF ALL! 

the title of the story (Through The Playlist), is going to explained in later chapters so uh yeah.

TWs!: abuse, unhealthy relationships, mild language, (maybe smut but don't count), homophobia, abuse, and a lil bit of kidnapping. :)

NOTE ABOUT THE SMUT (IF THERE WILL BE ANY): it's not excessive, but at some points it's vital to the story so i'm putting it in. i hate writing smut, and i sorta hate reading it when it's all... you know- so i'll put a notice when smut starts and ends. i'm not going to make it super detailed so if you came for the smut, go chill somewhere else my friend. 

NOW LETS TALK ABOUT THE BEAUTIFUL MCYTS IN THIS STORY!

nick (sapnap): he's a drama kid/ actor. he loves music. he's bisexual.

clay (dream): he's a bit of a jock. he doesn't have the best family life but he doesn't wanna talk about it. he's gay.

george (georgenotfound): he's very artistic. he has social anxiety. he's gay.

niki (nihachu): she's wilburs gf and our queen. she loves music and is really kind. she has a spotify playlist with nick called 'nick and niki's bops'. they text each other song recommendations in the mornings. she's pan.

wilbur (wilbur soot): he's sorta laid back and chill. he lets nick play his guitar sometimes, but only when he's watching. his guitar is his prized possession. he's dating niki. he's straight.

tommy (tommyinnit): he's a little angry child. he likes gaming and screaming. he likes toby the best because toby only makes fun of him occasionally. he's straight and thinks women are pogchamp. 

(tommy and toby are NOT a ship in this book. don't ship irl people, ESPECIALLY minors. the characters in this story are more-so their roles they play on the smp. the dream smp is a roleplay. they're acting. it isn't really their real personas.)

toby (tubbo): he likes bees and plays the piano + ukulele. he's in drama club, but controls the lights and soundboard since he likes being behind the scenes. he's best friends with tommy and doesn't mind his screaming. toby can usually calm tommy down. he's bi-questioning and asexual.

zak (skeppy): he's super dramatic, which is why he's also an actor. he's constantly trying to trick darryl into cussing. he's dating darryl. he's bi.

darryl (badboyhalo): he's the only pg one out of the friend group. he's dating zak. he might not cuss but he has gotten drunk even though he's underage. (his older brother and sister tricked him on new years eve.) he's pan.

TOMMY AND TOBY ARE 16. THE OTHERS ARE 17.

i'm in the eastern time zone so some things i say regarding time might sound weird.
