Our bet actually started a whole damn movement at school.

When Nathan and I walked the hallways on a Monday morning 3 weeks down the line, holding hands, it inspired a few closeted people to come out. In a school that seemed like people were scared of who they were, we managed to break through for them and be just one ripple to a huge wave. The funny thing is, they came to ask me for advice on how to get their crush.

I cackled everytime I told the story. 22 letters is all it takes, isn't it?

"Could've been less, Lee." Nathan broke me out of my chain of thought with the nickname.

"Did I say that out loud? Sorry." I apologized, and he squeezed my hand in the process.

"First, yes you did. And second, don't apologise for shit." He placed a kiss on my cheek, "It's good to know you still think of that."

It was. Because I'll remember how I got over my fear of being judged. How I took the tiny leap over the friend zone pool and actually succeeding. Derek should make bets more often.

"You're damn right I should." Derek said, coming with Cece, Yvonne, and a red haired girl over to the table.

What's up with me and thinking out loud?

"This is Jessie." Yvonne said, "Derek's girlfriend."

I'm happy for Derek. After that little scandal with Cece, he definitely deserved happiness.

My eyes narrowed to Cece, who had a hard time keeping her eyes off Yvonne. Another romance brewing? Maybe.

"Glad this worked out better than I thought it would." Derek began, "Although I wanted to see you run around naked."

We laughed but Nathan took it as a chance to shine with his humor, "Hey, only I can see him naked."

Another burst of laughter came from us as I blushed bright red.

"So Nathan has been seeing you naked? Interesting." Yvonne wriggled her eyebrows.

I shook my head and we began talking about unnecessary start. What a real great way to start our final year.

Derek looked at the chemistry between Yvonne and Cecelia, before shooting me a glance. I held back a chuckle and nudged Nathan, watching the back and forth between Yvonne and Cecelia. I think it's time Derek, the new Cupid, to work his magic.

"Ladies," both Yvonne and Cecelia looked at him as he began to smirk, "Who's up for another bet?"

Now it's the end. For real lol
