After I had unknowingly agreed to a demonic deal nothing happened. Literally nothing had happened for weeks after the night Eugene and I spoke after the party and he had agreed to help me. Anna and Oscar blanked me completely since that day and Eugene went back to his little corner in the classroom, though he did watch me. His sharp eyes followed me, even if I only picked a book up from my desk or passed around worksheets for the teacher. I could always tell when he was watching me, because I often felt like I had been struck by lightening, and when I would turn around I would meet his intense and glowing  green eyes.

I ignore that feeling now I knew who it came from.

It took two weeks for him to speak to me again, it was a rainy afternoon and the worst day of my life. I was walking down the corridor from the library when he suddenly came round the corner, practically skipping, to greet me. He seemed so happy with what he had done.

"Hello Flower," he said, his sharp teeth were glinting under the artificial light. He does remind me of a shark a times.

"Hello...and don't call me that," I said. He still calls me that insufferable nickname.

He shrugged his large shoulders and twisted his head around for a moment, he seemed to be checking if anyone was around before he spoke, "I started the 'get Lilly the guy she oh so deserves' plan."

I was surprised, I hadn't expect him to have actually done anything. "Did you speak to Oscar about the party? Tell him that you pushed me into him and Anna?" I asked, hoping that he had cleared my name. Stupid me.

He barked, "no! You did that not me."

I bristled at his comment, knowing that I was innocent of flipping over that sofa. But Eugene continued before I could get a word in.

"No. I've sped things along a little bit. Something changed after our little conversation and it took me some time to think of the best plan but I think I've got it. Go take a look, round the corner! Out the fire escape!" he was quite excited by this point.

I slowly approach the the righthand corner and opened the obnoxious green doors, I was hoping to see Oscar and Anna arguing or Anna kissing another guy. Something...anything that would break them up.

I could never have imagined the sight before me.

Anna was on the floor and she wasn't moving. Nothing look disturbed, it was as if she had ironed her clothes and her hair and gently laid herself on the floor as if it were covered in spring grass and not the concrete flagstone. I walked slowly up to her and could see that her eyes were open and glassy, she stared straight at the plain landscape.

I was shaking and thought the most inane thoughts as my hands clasped over my mouth. I couldn't comprehend what had happened, why was Anna alone? Why wasn't she making out with some guy? She shouldn't be like this, this wasn't the plan.

"She's dead...just in case you didn't notice," I heard Eugene's voice from behind me.

"What...what...why...why did you do this?" ask managed to squeeze out of my frozen lungs. I couldn't tear my eyes away from hers.

"You wanted your guy, and this is how the plan needed to go," he said as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

I just kept looking at her. She was pale as cloud-filled sky above her. But there was no blood. She was just gone.

But when I registered Eugene's words and their casualness I whirled on him, "You...you sociopath! What are we going to do now?"

"You. Not we. You," he replied, "you are going to find a teacher or student and cry your little heart out saying you found a girl collapsed. Go now!"

No matter what  my state the commanding tone his voice could always compel me, he told me to run, so I did. I ran until I found someone and babbled out what Eugene had told me.

It didn't take long for the alarm to go up and there was soon a crowd of students standing everywhere as teachers tried to clear them for the ambulance and police crews to get through. I was gathered with the rest of them, still starring into Anna's eyes as they covered her up.

A couple of police officers were speaking to the school Chancellor, he starts pointing at me and the officers look in my direction before walking over.

"You found the poor girl? Yes? You'll have to just step this way so we can get your statement and details and then we'll have someone help you back to your flat," he said.

I hadn't liked this, I knew who did it, but would I be charged with murder too? Would he kill me too? Did he kill her? She looked as though she had died in her sleep, but who would sleep there?

I was being led away from the crowd when someone piped up, I didn't know who it was at the time, but what they said made my blood run cold, my heart stop, and dread creep into my bones.

"Hey that's Lillian Jones! She was Anna's stalker! She even attacked her at that house party a few weeks ago...she's some sort of sociopath!"
