When he walked in, everything was normal. He had a huge hole in his chest, and his arm was missing. His bandages were falling off, exposing his chest.

"Hello, young man." A booming voice reverberated the room, making him look around in fascination.

"Who are you?" He asked, scared.

"I am you. I am your friends. I am your soul. I am your love, and your life." The voice, obviously female, boomed, before quieting and he saw her.

She was large, sitting on a massive chair. She floated down, and shrank. She was atleast a foot shorter than him.

"Why am I here?" He asked.

"Poor child. A young man. It was not your time to die. Not your time."

"I-I don't understand." He said, as she took his good arm and led him back down the hallway.

"Not your time. Oh, you have suffering ahead. Poor child. Young man." She repeated.

"What do you mean?" He begged, each step back down took more effort, and soon he was leaning on her. "What do you mean?"

"I will ease your suffering. I will fix your body. Your mind is yours, only yours to save."

And then there was white.

Mirai gasped, attempting to sit up.

"Oh Sir! Please, lay back down." A women said, placing a hand on his chest and pushing him back down. He looked around. This was not the hospital room he was brought to.

"Who are you?" He asked.

"I am you. I am your friends. I am your soul. I am your love, and your life." The women, who was wearing a nurse outfit turned around. She was beautiful. "But you can call me (Y/N) (L/N)."

"Where am I?"

"Between life and death. I am one of the billions of Guardians, each of us set to watch over one person. If we save them before they die, we can return with them to Earth and live a life with them. I am your Guardian, and I've saved you before your time. We can return to your life together, but we will be joined forever." She explained.

"Oh." He said softly. "Oh."

There was silence. It lasted for what seemed to be days, but she explained to him that years here would be hardly seconds in his life. She told him that right now, he was probably in his last seconds of dying, while everyone watched with held breathes while he breathed his last.

But he wouldn't, as it wasn't his time to go. He asked her once what it would be like when he went back. She told him that it would be painful, but only for a second. And then he would appear back where he had died, with her next to him. Just a second of that. And then he would feel her. She would be holding him.

And then it was time to go. He was fixed, just scars on his body, one where she had reattached his arm and two more where the spike went through his stomach.

She pulled herself onto the bed, where he was to weak to pull himself up. So she sat on her legs, pulling his head onto her thighs.

"Close your eyes, and try not to focus on the space travel." She whispered, placing her hands on his head. He nodded weakly, focusing in how her fingers brushed through. And then he quickly felt his limbs trying to be pulled apart.

He started breathing heavily, opened his eyes and scrambled into her arms. She did not turn him down, pulling him closer to her chest. The pain dissipated, now that he was with her.

It seemed slow, but was actually faster than he thought. He was on a hospital bed, breathing heavily and staring at All Might and his two work study students. He still felt her around his body.

"There, we're back now. See? We're with your friends now." She whispered, making him swallow and nod thickly.

"Sir...Nighteye?" She heard.

"Mirio."
