Ch 40: It's all about trust

Taehyung

Man, it's almost 2 am! Luckily my classes start in the afternoon

I entered the house tiptoeing my way to the bedroom. In the meantime, I got rid of my jacket and shoes tossing them somewhere along the way.

I'm too lazy to change clothes let alone take a shower.

My heart skipped a beat entering the darkroom with a glimpse of Y/N her body laying on my bed. I sat on the other side of the bed, my eyes already used to the dark. I watched Y/N her back turned to me. She didn't move an inch.

She is sleeping so peacefully.

Hoping not to wake her I took a hold of the other side of the blanket. Lifting it up as I shifted myself underneath it.

I laid still for a moment before shifting more towards Y/N. The small creaking noises made me stop my actions while averting my gaze to her back.

She didn't wake up, right?

Once more I shifted closer. Once I felt her body warmth within my presence I turned on my side. My chin was lightly touching her head.

I wanna hold her.....

Without a second thought, the desire became too big causing me to wrap my arms tightly around her as I leaned myself fully against her body.

Ahhh this feels so nice

''Welcome back....'' Her soft sleepy voice whispered to me while one of her hands lightly held on to mine that was wrapped around her. 

I nuzzled up to her tightening my embrace.

I feel so loved.

Y/N

''Taehyung I'm going!'' I yelled out hearing the shower running. 

''Okay! Have a safe trip!'' Hearing his reply through the echoing walls of his bathroom came as an approval to leave. 

Walking around campus made me realize that.....after a couple of months we're done here. 

Time sure flies.

''Are you okay? You seem to have something on your mind'' I averted my lazy gaze to Minki. 

How can he see through me like that? 

''It's nothing....'' Who are you kidding Y/N, obviously there is something! But I'm not sure if I can talk with Minki about this...

About how Taehyung received a message from Sangmi this morning reading 'Sorry for bothering you last night, thank you for coming to see me'. It wasn't like I was going through his phone or something! I just happened to see it when he was reading the message. 

I thought he only had an appointment with his dad...?

Y/N stop acting like this! They are friends! Maybe something happened so he went to visit her, but.....I can't help but feel uneasy about it. 

''Obviously, there is something. You can't fool me, so how about you and I go to that cafe around here during our break.'' Maybe I should talk about it, it's better to release what's on my mind instead of making myself crazy with it. 

Normally I would instantly inform Aiko about it, but she is busy as well with her life. I don't want to bother her all the time.

''So that's how it is. Honestly, I expected something like an ex-girlfriend of his showing up to happen. It's Taehyung after all. One of the most popular guys on the campus. I'm surprised you're not getting ambushed every day by a bunch of fangirls.'' 

''Geez, thanks now I really feel better.'' Honestly, even to this day, I wonder.....Why me?

''No, I didn't mean it like that! But I do get where you're coming from. It's an uneasy feeling I'm sure. It's not like you don't trust him it's more like you don't trust her. Well, that comes without a doubt cause she literally told you she wanted to get back with him.'' 

''Yeah..'' Hearing Minki remind me of our encounter again set of some nerve. 

I don't hate Sangmi it's just. For some reason, I feel weak and I know that I'm up against her. 

''But hey the only thing I can say is to be clear about your thoughts with Taehyung. I don't think he'll go back to his ex. I'm sure if you told him you want him to hang out less with her he'll understand, cause he loves you very much. Even I can tell that.'' 

Minki can tell?

''How can you tell that?'' This kinda made me curious, cause it's not that Taehyung showers me with kisses when were in public. 

''Cause he shoots me death glares practically every time I'm near you'' Hearing him say that with a chuckle made me furrow my brows. 

''Why would he shoot you glares?'' It doesn't make sense. It's not like Minki is my ex we're just friends. 

''Ah because I li-''

''Nevermind. Just because'' 

''You were totally gonna say something just now!'' Can't believe he leaves me hanging like that!

''No, I wasn't. Oh, will you look at that our break is almost over, let's go!''

Should I ask him? 

Currently, our day was over. I was heading towards a client I had to meet for some sketches of a new release. Taehyung insisted on bringing me so we were seated in the car heading there now. 

Just ask!

''How was yesterday? Did you needed to help with a lot?'' He looked at me for a second before focussing back on the road as the red light turned to green. 

''Oh yeah, it was really tiring! Sorry for coming back so late''

''Ah no that's okay. I was just wondering...'' 

How should I get him to say it? 

''I thought maybe you had some other things to do after that..''

''No actually not at all.'' Did I hear that correctly? 

I kinda straightened my back turning my body slightly to him so I could look properly at his face. 

''Oh really? So you just went to the office and came back afterward?'' He turned his face towards me locking eyes. 

''Yeah, why?'' Such a plain facial expression, not even a hint of him feeling flustered, not even a slight flinch. Of anything that could tell me he was caught off guard by my question.

Perhaps I was just wrong or......he really is lying straight to my face.
