The next morning Angelina showed up to school looking for Liam. He was easily found in the weight room with Mason. "Hey, boys," She smiled.

"Hey," They said in unison.

She sat down on the floor while they talked, deciding to do homework while she waited.

"You know how I keep reminding Garrett to give me back my hoodie?" Mason asked while lifting a weight.

"Yeah," Liam answered.

"Well, I remember he said that he lived in that housing development on Spaulding. So I went there and guess what? That housing development is still in development."

"So?"

"There are no houses yet. So, unless the dude lives in some backhoe, there's something he's not telling us," Mason finished.

Angelina looked up to see Liam not even paying attention, so she turned to her best friend and spoke, "That is weird Mason, maybe you should spy on him," She winked.

He chuckled, "And then there's this other dude, he's been acting really strange. Running to school for no reason, disappearing at parties, used to be my best friend," He said looking off into space.

"Hey! I thought I was your best friend," Angelina pouted.

"You are! But so is this one," Mason said pointing to Liam who was about to lift 300 lbs. "And is apparently on steroids," He added.

This time Liam's attention was caught. "What?"

"You're not actually going to try and lift that are you?"

Liam sat up all the way and looked at each side of the pole, Mason and Angelina squatted in front of him.

"Are you all right?" Angelina asked.

"Is it about the game today?" Mason questioned as well.

"I'm fine, it's just a scrimmage," Liam shrugged.

"You know who you're playing right?"

"Yeah, I mean no, I guess I missed the announcements."

"Liam, it's your old school," Mason said quieter. "Devenford Prep"

Angelina frowned, looking between the two. She had a friend that went there, yet she mostly bonded with his younger sister.

"Are you going to be okay?" She spoke up, placing a comforting hand on Liam's. He nodded and looked down at the ground.

"What the hell is Derek doing here?" Angelina mumbled, walking into the boys locker room without even looking.

Inside, Derek had Liam pinned against the lockers, he was growling and his eyes were golden.
