Why hadn't I studied last night? I hid my face in my hands as Ms.Amanda walked around the room collecting the papers. Dylan had offered me his cheat sheet but I didn't think I would need it so I had rejected the offer. Other kids didn't really care about their grades, but I always had. My parents had made sure that I knew what would be waiting at home if I got less than a B. They would not be happy with me, I was sure of that. I groaned as Ms. Amanda picked up my paper, watching as the expression on her face turn to a surprised frown. But to my surprise, she just kept on walking across the room.
"RING!" The bell rang obnoxiously through the room, and my lips turned up in a smile.
"Finally" I muttered under my breath. I tried to follow the others through the door, but Ms. Amanda called my name. Damn it.
"Yes, Ms. Amanda?" I answered nervously.
"Bella, you are usually one of the best in the class. I'm going to be completely honest, I'm shocked. What happened?" She frowned.
"Well um... To be honest I've been really busy and I barely got any sleep last night. Cheer, school, and work are just super time-consuming. I'm really sorry about this... Is there any way I can do some extra credit or something?" I run my fingers through my hair anxiously.
"I completely understand. I was the exact same way when I was your age. If you come here during tomorrow's Lunch break I'll let you retake the test. If you ever feel like things are too overwhelming, then just know that I'm always here to talk to." She says happily.
"Thank you so much, Ms. Amanda! It won't happen again." I reply before practically sprinting out the door. There was a reason Ms. Amanda was everyone's favorite teacher. I just hoped that I could retake the test before my parents found out about my grade.

"MS. JAMES! WHY ARE YOU NOT PARTICIPATING IN THE LESSON?" Mr. Nelson yelled.
Lunch had gone by in a blur. Me and Anna had sat with the cheerleaders gossiping and talking about the state championship coming up. I hadn't talked too much but I enjoyed their company.
Returning to the present, I quickly sat up and banged my head against the top of my desk. I groan in pain and respond swiftly.
"I apologize Mr. Nelson, it won't happen again."
"It better not, you're already failing my class." He sighs with a devilish grin.
I wouldn't be upset if it was true, but I knew that I had worked extremely hard in his class and had never gotten anything less than an A-. My insides boil as I put a fake smile on my face.
"Will do." I say sarcastically.
Suddenly I realize what I did. I internally scream and pray that he doesn't notice. WTF IS WRONG WITH ME? DID I SERIOUSLY JUST ANSWER SARCASTICALLY TO A MR.NELSON? After what seemed like hours of waiting for a response, he moved on to the next topic. I sigh and slump down in my seat. He was such a toxic teacher, always had been. He always knew the right way to get under your skin and did it for fun, even if there wasn't a reason to. People told stories of the type of things he did to his students. Most of them were probably just rumors, but I wouldn't be surprised if a few of them are true. I feel my forehead starting to turn read. My arms and legs start to shake slowly. I try to hold it in, but I can't help it. No, not here, I desperately plead to my body as I realize what's about to happen. My phone vibrates in my pocket. Making sure that Mr. Nelson doesn't see, I open it and see what the notification is. After glancing at the screen, I see a text from Anna telling me to meet her outside after school. I take a few deep breaths, and try and focus. With something to look forward to, I miraculously make it through the class, feeling less panicky and anxious as every second goes by.

"Bella! Over here!"
I walk over to Anna and see her sitting with a guy. Jealousy sparks through me as I look at his face, although I wasn't attracted to him at all. I've always been jealous of the way Anna is so smooth with guys. Boys are constantly coming from every angle to ask Anna out on a date. But to be honest, it doesn't surprise me, she's the most beautiful girl I've ever met.
"Hey Anna. What's up? Who is this" I smirk.
"Oh this is just Tyler," She blushes intensely"He's just um helping me with my history assignment."
He puts out his hand in front of me and smiles. I shake it but squeeze it aggressively, trying to hint that if he tries to mess with her, he will pay. He takes the hint and nervously frowns.
"Hey um Anna I gotta go to Football practice. Text me" He jogs off and I watch him as he turns around, taking one last look at Anna, admiration and love glinting in his eyes.
"OMG HE IS SO HOT I CAN'T" She whispers excitedly.
I laugh, shaking my head. They would be perfect together, I can't deny that. He was the most popular guy in the school and he wasn't really the type I would go for, but I respected him since he was valedictorian last year while being football captain. He also had a reputation of treating girls well (Yes I know, super surprising).
"You two would literally be so cute together. I can already see you winning prom queen and king together." I wink at her.
"Really? I hope he likes me back. Ever since I started talking to him a few weeks ago I-"
"A FEW WEEKS? GIRL WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?" I was slightly offended, but I knew she had a valid reason. She never kept things from me.
"Well, I just wasn't sure you would approve... I mean he isn't really the type you would go for so I wasn't sure you'd understand."
I engulf her in a hug.
"Anna, even if I wouldn't make the same decisions you would make, it doesn't mean I wouldn't support you. I love you to the moon and back and no matter how many mistakes you make I'll always be here for you."
"Awww girl stop I'm gonna cry." She says while blinking back tears.
"Don't, we have cheer and we can't be late." I wink at her while helping her up. We grab our stuff and head over to cheer. I tried to shove my jealously down my throat as we walked towards the other girls. I hoped that one day someone would look back at me the way Tyler looked at Anna. But judging from my luck with relationships so far, I didn't think that would happen for a very long time.

[☁✰☾✰☁]

Hey everyone! Okay, I know this story is super boring so far since I haven't gotten to the juicy romance, but I promise it's coming in the next chapter ;)
(If I can I'll post again tonight but I have a lot of school work so I dunno. I'll most likely post at least twice tomorrow)

P.S. Please let me know what you think so far! I'm really interested in hearing what everyone has to say! I'd absolutely love to have feedback (negative or positive I won't be offended)

Love you all :)
