Dean started to walk away, feeling disappointed in himself for getting his hopes up. Cas looked over at him and called him. When dean heard him he popped up in surprise, but he was also confused. Cas called out to Dean "Where you going?" Dean looked back at Cas and replied "Wait, the letter was actually for me?" Cas laughed at Dean while Dean stood still with a confused look on his face. "Of course it's for you, why else would it be in your locker?" Asked Cas. "Uh, I've never really had anyone talk to me so ya, I didn't think it was for me..." Dean trailed off. Cas was walking towards him. Dean noticed that Cas had taken out his earrings even though he never has done that before. By the time Cas was in front of Dean, he saw Cas was looking at him with a hint of curiosity. Dean had started to get nervous, after a couple of silent moments Dean broke the silence of the afternoon and finally asked "What do you even want with me?" Dean asked in a wondrous tone then looked up at Cas nervously and locked eyes with him. He had the bluest fullest eyes he'd ever seen...and he loved them. "I want to get to know you, you seem nice. Plus, you don't have anyone to talk to and I kind of feel bad for you" Cas spoke in a nonchalant voice.
"What do you mean you "feel bad" for me? I'm just fine and I don't need your pity!"
"That's not what I meant! I mean, you just seem like a nice person who doesn't get enough attention. That's all" Cas looked down at his feet as if he was ashamed for saying something wrong. He looked back up to see what Dean was feeling.
"Whatever. What were you even wanting to do? I am the lamest person in this school"
"Well I don't think you are the lamest but maybe we could just ya know, hang out"
"Okay? But before I do anything I have to check in with my parents, and I don't have a phone, so if you want to go somewhere we would have to stop by my house first but I don't blame you if you don't want to."
Cas smiled and started to walk away from the school to show he'd go with Dean. Dean stayed behind a second trying to take in what all was happening, then he jog a little to catch up to Cas.

Dean lead Cas to his house and then took him inside to meet his parents. They all talked for a couple minutes when Dean finally got out of his house with Cas. "Hey Cas, what do you exactly have planned?" Dean look sideways to see his face. Cas was looking around observing the small neighborhood with gravelly sidewalks and very little people out. Cas realized what Dean said and looked over at him sharing eye contact. "Well, maybe we could just go to a little diner and get something to watch? Does that sound good?" Dean nodded then looked ahead to seek diner he'd never really payed attention to. "That one?" Dean asked as he pointed towards the old building "Yeah" Cas nodded and started to run forwards. He grabbed Dean's hand and started pulling him to go faster "Lets go! Before it gets to crowded!" Cas yelled Dean stumbled after him trying to not fall down. They entered the diner together, it was small building with red and white wallpaper and a old feel to it. Dean looked around and admired the place while Cas went and got them a table. Dean followed Cas to a table then sat across from him. "So, you come to this place a lot?" Asked Cas trying to get Dean into a conversation
"No, I've uh, never been here. What do they have?"
"The best food... and music. This is the place I heard my first Ac/Dc song, it's what got me into that kind of music."
"Oh, cool. I don't really listen to that music" Dean said as he picked up the menu and looked through it. "Aren't you going to get anything?" Dean ask Cas.
"Yeah, but I've been here so much the people already know my orders, but I was think of just getting us an order of fries, that okay?"
"Yeah, that good" Dean put down his menu and looked at Cas. The waitress came over to their table. Cas ordered what he said he would, one side of fries. Cas and Dean talk for a bit, about random things like what video games they liked, music, and just there interests.

"Cas"
"Yeah?"
"Why did you really bring me here, no one ever wants to talk to me or be my friend. Not now, not since middle school, so why are you suddenly taking interest in me?"
"I just thought a first date would be fun" Cas looked at Dean and saw that Dean was looking at the fries with a hint of shock on his face. "A date? What do you mean a first date?"
