-(Y/N)'s POV-
There!
I swung my arm at a seemingly empty space, but felt it connect with the body of the person I was training with, hearing a gasp escape the girl as she jumped back.
"You're being too slow, Hagakure!" I called to her as I leapt forwards towards my invisible classmate. Now having an idea of where she was, I switched my attacks to sharp punches rather than wide swings. "You have the advantage as long as your opponent doesn't know you're there! But if they figure out where you are, you need to be fast enough to either evade or escape!" Three of my punches made contact, but my last one hit open air. The next person to get punched was me, and the impact to my stomach made me take a step back."Don't worry!" Hagakure replied, upbeat but clearly out of breath from our hour of hand to hand training. We also did some training against knives and other weapons, so it was about quarter to six now. "I can be fast when I need to be!"
"Good," I said, standing straight and taking a breath. I felt the tense feeling in the air disappear, so I figured that she'd followed my lead and relaxed. "You're going to need to be fast, given that the first round of the sports festival is always a kind of race. You won't be able to do much about being stealthy then, so you can focus on the running."I looked around the room we were in, spotting Aizawa and Chiyori watching our training from near the wall of one of U.A.'s training grounds. For Hagakure to take advantage of her quirk, she needed to be unseen, so we requested one of U.A.'s facilities so we could use our hero costumes. It was worth having to wait until after class on Friday though, since Hagakure learnt the basics of hand to hand and we had a stealth training session for her.
"Oh yeah... the festival's done in P.E. uniforms, so everyone'll be able to see me," Hagakure realised, and I nodded. "Though, with what Bakugo said a few days ago, I think I'll really, really want to be hidden." I sighed but nodded again, conceding her point. Bakugo had really riled the other classes up and painted a target on class 1-A's backs, even if I understand why he did it. I even jumped in myself. Whether for fun or for damage control, I'm not even sure anymore, but I did try to clear things up and avoid everyone hunting us during the festival.
<———————>
After class had ended on the day we were told about the sports festival, leaving class to go home wasn't exactly an easy thing to do.
"Wh-What's going on?" Uraraka asked, startled by the sudden appearance of the majority of our year group outside our door.
"What business do you have with Class A?" Iida asked, though he got no reply before someone else butted in.
"We can't get out!" Mineta complained. "What'd you come here for, anyway?""Scouting out the enemy, small fry," Bakugo told the grape boy, walking towards the crowd to go home. "We're the ones who made it out of the villains' attack. They probably wanna check us out before the sports festival." He continued moving as he talked, approaching some kid with long ears who didn't look to enthusiastic about staring down our class's walking bomb. "There's no point in doing stuff like that," Bakugo continued, with a scowl this time. "Out of my way, extras!"
"Stop calling people 'extras' just because you don't know them!" Iida commanded, but was ignored."I came to see what the famous Class A was like, but you seem pretty arrogant," came the voice of a purple haired boy who was pushing his way to the front of the crowd. "Are all the students in the hero course like this?"
"I hope to Daisy that we aren't," I said, joining the confrontation that was brewing. I wasn't going to sit this one out, and neither was Eiji, who walked up with me. "If we were, there wouldn't be any heroes, would there?"
"I suppose not," the boy admitted, but then gestured told Bakugo. "But still, the fact that someone like this made it to the hero course while others didn't... it's really disillusioning."
