Somewhere in Piston Peak, 2:50 am
The once peaceful night of piston peak was now disturbed by a black shuttle figure that had entered the parks atmosphere. Its bolting entry had cause a sudden burst of flames on its outer casing, like a comet that has just come from space. With such speed it hit the surface of a small open field which created a hole in the earths ground. Its disruptive landing not only created an immense crater but had also drawn a straight line through the surround trees which had caught little sparks of fire. Its exterior remain unharmed through the damage as it spoked away a few critters nearby. It seemed quiet at first as nothing happened until a small click was heard.
The shuttle began to transform as two big metal claws gripped the edges of the hole. A jaguar mechanical looking beast emerged from the ashes. Its glowing green eyes pierced through the darkness, as its tail thrashed wildly around. The beast was twice the size of two trucks stacked on top of one another, once it fully got out of the hole. Every mechanical part inside the beast's body twirled to life, humming away as it scanned its surroundings. The last thing that was heard was its screeching roar that echoed through the forrest, showing off its jaw full of razor-sharp teeth before it disappeared into the darkness of the night.
California, Piston Peak, South Meadow, 1:00pm
This was not exactly how Toby thought his day would have gone. Upon arriving at Piston Park, Toby could tell that something was not right. Flying above the green sea of trees below, staring straight ahead when he noticed a trail of back smoke. The black ooze had already been pasted onto the blue skies, making it impossible to miss the sight of it. Being the curious teenager he was you can only imagine what Toby's next move was. As he grew nearer and nearer, he found himself staring straight into a blaze of forestry fire. Its glorious orange flames whipped across from tree to tree. Toby could see how the hot flames had already covered twenty acres of land and it was still spreading downwind.
Through all the mess, the young copter spotted a small team of yellow and red vehicles down below the flames, pushing and pulling on fallen tree debris to contain the fire from spreading further. In the skies, he saw a green copter and a yellow plane that were circling the fire, shooting out pink foam onto the edges. With all this interest of watching the fire-fighters work, Toby instantly knew who else he would be expecting to see out here. He knew that if he didn't get out now he was going to have to hear about it all night. Just as Toby was about to leave a small crying sound grabbed the copter's attention.
He flew lower to where he heard the sounds from, following along the edges of the burning trees. There he spotted a herd of deers standing in a fresh green patch of meadow that had been untouched by the ferocious fire. Toby counted eleven of them all together, seven does and twelve stags. He noticed how one of the stages had larger antlers than the rest which he already figured out was the herds leader but why wasn't he leading his group away from the burning forest. One of the does had come up to the stag, as it cried out into the flames before the same sound that Toby heard before was there again, crying back out from the flames. He finally pieced the pieces of this puzzle together, as he moved a bit closer towards the flames. He scanned the area when suddenly he saw movement amoung the rubble of branches, and ashes. He squinted as he took a look closer and sure it enough there was a little foal trapped underneath some tree rumbles that were now burning in flames. The older doe from before cried out again as the foal weakly responded.
Sounds like its in pain. Toby thought remorsefully. He flew in a little closer to examine the situation, which may have startled the herd a bit. "Oh No, no, no Don't panic, I'm here to help." Toby calmly said.
As if they understand you. The young copter thought too himself. He scanned the situation again as he saw a large flaming log and landed on the poor foals side, the fire above slowly moving down towards it. If he didn't move quick the poor goal would be fried to a crisp.
He moved in closer soo that he was about 1 meter away from the log and the goal. where than he started oquickly scanned to see if anybody was watching calculated the quickest, fastest and safest way to pull the foal from. The forrest area surrounding the foal was full of flames so he couldn't fly in. The foals leg really was jammed underneath the log soo he knew he had to use his telekinesis to lift the log and than pull it out with his hoist. Great... He moaned.
With a quick scan around to see if anybody was watching, Toby lifted the logs with his telekinesis off the deer and threw them on the side. Now comes the tricky part. He thought. He tried to swing his hoist over to where the deer was but his throw was either to0 short or too long that it kept missing the foal completely. The copter than grunted in frustration. Ugh this is hopeless! Whats the point in having a hoist when you don't even know how to use it. Stupid genetic genes. The copter cursed himself.
Maybe if I go closer. Toby thought as he made he way near the edge of the fire. The orangey red flames roared in his direction which startled the copter as he moved back a little. Maybe not too close.
He than slowly began to lower his hoist as it a lined up with the frighten little deer below him as a satisfying click was heard. "Yes!" The copter praised himself as he began to slowly lift the creature.
"Hey!" Someone yelled behind him.
"Get outta there, that tree is about to fall!" The voice called in which Toby turned around to see a tree engulfed in flames now charged towards him. With fast thinking, he quickly glided to his side with the tree nearly inches away from hitting his tail. The young copter stared back at the now fallen tree, with thoughts flowing through his mind. He could have gotten killed and yet he hadn't even reached his destination yet but he quickly snapped back to reality setting the creature he remembered he was carrying, down at a nearby meadow. He happily rejoiced inwardly as he saw the family reunited. It felt good that he was able to do something even if it was a little thing like saving a baby deer, but that small celebration to himself was soon cut off when a booming voice came from behind him.
"What do you think you are doing?!" The voice roared as Toby slowly turned around to greet the copter.
"Don't you know that this is a restricted-" The old red Augustan chopper cut himself off as he stared in shock at the copter before him.
"Toby?"
The young copter sighed as he plainly stated out loud.
"Hi, Dad."
