Red sighed, yawning and stretching as he emerged slowly from his nest. It had been a long night last night with that bloody battle against those nasty invaders, and he was very tired, his new wounds hurt. At least he had seen the healers last night, they no doubt had taken care of his cuts and scratches. "Oh, Ribbons," he called to the young she-cat healer in his almost sing-song voice that always had the hint of a purr. Ribbons was a foolish young cat...she seemed to think he liked her somehow, truth was, not at all. To him, the son of Scourge, she was nothing. Especially sense he was gay and only felt the kind of attraction she foolishly thought he had for her to other toms, not to any she-cats. Other toms like the handsome silver maine coon tom, Dare...his obvious crush. 'Hehe Darrre~' he thought, drooling a bit.

Ribbons entered the room. "Oh, Red, are you alright?"

"Mm, yes, just this awful headache I woke with..." Red purred in response. In the warm stuffiness of the Healing Den, he could just hear his older sister Bella's voice rasping angrily outside. Probably telling his youngest sister Fall off for sneaking out again by the sounds of it. That foolish, foolish she-cat Fall. His thoughts where interrupted by Ribbons, "Oh, oh, a headache! That's awful, we can't let that happen," she meowed. "Oh sure you can," Red replied flatly. Ribbons only shook her head. "Silly Red, we just can't! It might ruin your lovely voice!" That made him burst out laughing. "My voice?  VOICE?" he yelled. It was absolutely ridiculous, worrying about his voice when his life already was a mess. 'Stupid, stupid, foolish she-cat!'  he thought, 'My life is ruined and you worry about my dumb ass voice!?' Ribbons was dumber than he thought.

"Oh, oh! Sorry! SORRY!" she said, lowing her head, "I'll just...get you some mint to deal with that headache, huh?" She looked at him hopefully. Red looked away, not caring anymore. He heard Ribbons's claws clicking on stone as she walked away to get the mint. Sighing, Red sat down, taking the time to study the room he was in, there was a bowl of water sitting on the concrete floor next to the nest he had slept in. The nest itself was made of straw and feathers. The room was a small cardboard box, he knew it was next to 4 other cardboard boxes lined up on a stone wall near the edge of camp, surrounded by BloodClan's herb store. They called it the "Healer's Den" even though it was just a bunch of cardboard boxes and some herbs. Pfft. He found it ridiculous honestly. Like Ribbons.

Obviously, there wasn't much to it and he got bored very quickly. Hmph. When Ribbons got back he'd mess with her more just to entertain himself. Heh. Ribbons came back with the mint in her jaws and dropped it in front of him. He stared at her with a smirk and a raised eyebrow. Ribbons glanced at him then away, obviously uncomfortable. This was fun already. Red ate the mint, really he had no headache, he just liked the taste of mint! Besides, it kept the nightmares away unlike other drug-like herbs like poppy seed. He turned to Ribbons. "So, your looking quite..." Red paused to brush his tail under her chin seductively, "Lovely today." He used a full on purring flirty voice, and was laughing his ass off eternally at Ribbons's bright red face. 'Fool,'  he thought, 'tricked so easily.'  Just a flirty voice and a tail under chin and she was blushing her face off! It was priceless!

Ribbons suddenly tried to shake it off. "Th-thanks," she stuttered, "You-you l-l-look nice...t-to?" Red couldn't help but snicker. "Of course I do, I always do," he replied, smirking. "Y-yes of course," Ribbons replied, attempting a smile. Just as he thought. Priceless reactions. Red circled her slowly, keeping up the act. He saw her black-and-white pelt twitch under his stare and snickered again. "W-w-why ar-are you d-doing this?" the young she-cat asked, glancing at him with bold yellow eyes. "I don't know, why would you care?" he replied, raising an eyebrow. "I-I-I-er-um-I-" she seemed to have trouble answering. "That's what I thought." he told her.

Ribbons looked down at her paws. Suddenly Bella stormed into the den. "Red! I need you, there's something the council has to discuss." Red rolled his eyes. "You're always here to ruin my fun, aren't you, Bella?" was his only reply. Bella rolled her eyes back. "I don't care about your 'fun' messing with this poor she-cat and pretending you like her, we both know your gay and don't feel attraction like that to she-cats and we also both know the council is more important." He snorted. "Yeah. Sure." he said. Ribbons stared at him. "Wait...your...gay? Like you...like like other toms?" she said, eyes wide. "Yes. Got a problem with gays? We're just as much cats and it's just as much love as straight cats." Ribbons only squeaked and ran away, embarrassed. Red rolled his eyes. "Heh. Foolish she-cat. I'd almost mistake her as Fall if she was a tabby. Both are young fools."

Bella snorted. "To true," she whispered. "Now let's go! We don't have time to waste our time!" Red followed her out of the Healer's Den, and over to her den. Scourge's old den. The leader's den. He shuttered, memories of the battle with Firestar's disgusting LionClan and his father's final days flashing through his mind. He didn't like to remember. They're trusted, strong deputy, Bone, killed by what seemed a hoard of kits, and his father, the unstoppable Scourge killed by what should have been a dead cat...the embarrassment, the pain, the torture that followed...it was unbelievable. Red missed BloodClan's good old days before that more than anything.

As they walked they passed Ribbons, who was crying her own fucking ass off; for whatever good it did her. Red rolled his eyes again. That was so fucking stupid. Like the world. Like him. Like life and death. Stupid and pointless. They reached the leader's den, where the rest of the council waited. "So why did you guys call us together here?"

"Snow," Bella said flatly. "Um, what?" he replied. "Snowstorms are coming. Snow means snowturn. Meaning less fresh-kill and more Twoleg scraps. Meaning cold dens and extra patrols. Meaning death. Meaning we have to prepare the Clan so there can be less of that shit." Bella snarled. "Ohhh," Red whispered. Bella continued her rant, "Now I need each of you prepare your segment of BloodClan, Red, prepare your fighters for tougher bloodier snowturn battles. Dawn, prepare your hunters for scavenging. Chill-air is over, just like life-bloom and hotsky, and when those weather patterns end, we know it is snowturn, it will be cold, the prey will hide, the scrapcans will be our only food source. Scavenging will be the way." Dawn, Red's 2nd to youngest sister, nodded.

"Acid," Bella continued, "Get your guards ready for extra patrols, enemies will be around every corner during snowturn and we need  to be ready." Red closed his eyes, remembering last snowturn....the lives lost...he shuttered. 'We need to be ready...'
